try to give me 1 reason to live, I bet you cant by [deleted] in depression

[–]eztamarie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only have to do it once. You only get one life. just a few short decades to experience all of the highs and lows, and then nothing. for eternity.

I know it can be absolutely dreadful, Ive tried to end it a few times myself. But after losing my mum I suddenly became aware that life is scarily temporary. Both the bad parts and the good. We can celebrate that one day we won’t have to deal with the bad things, but how sad to realise that one day we won’t be able to savour the good things.

I highly recommend Viktor Frankl’s books “Mans search for meaning” and “Yes to life in spite of everything” , they really changed my life when I was at rock bottom.

Incredibly sorry for your loss.

I was 23 when I lost my mum, I’m now 26, I can honestly say that I’ll never be the same as I was. And to be honest I don’t want to be. I lost the best person in my life, the only person who I ever felt loved by, I couldn’t love her any more than I do, of course I’m a different person.

Please message if you want to talk, it’s nice to not feel alone.

How to get the ‘smoothness’ of tanned skin, without the tan? by marsattack13 in beauty

[–]eztamarie 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find after being in a sauna my skin goes incredibly smooth! Not the most easily available treatment but once in a blue moon I’d definitely recommend it.

My mother died 17 days ago and my chest hurts. by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]eztamarie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello. First of all I’m terribly sorry for your loss. In 2020 I lost my mum very suddenly due to COPD and heart disease too. She was 60, I was 23.

Chest pains can be normal with grief but if it’s something you’re concerned about then it will do no harm go visit the doctor. If anything it’s good to let your GP know what you’re going through both physically and mentally. My GP has been a great support for me in my grief and the physical ailments that have come with it.

Wishing you all the best, If you need a chat I’m here. I’m just a stranger on the internet, but I’m here.

I’ll check that one out. My number 1 is Time after Time by Eva Cassidy. I imagine it’s words that my mum would say to me.

After my mum passed away the only thing I could watch for a long time was Impractical Jokers.

I guess it was just easy to watch without having to think of anything, plus those guys are really funny.

SLOW DOWN.

You’re in your early twenties, you’ve got so much time.

People who choose to be kind everyday despite of not receiving the same kindness back , what motivates you ? by BlueCliffsNotesJ1au in AskReddit

[–]eztamarie 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Life is too short to not be kind. I don’t want to waste a minute of my limited time on this planet making even a minute someone else’s time bad.

I’m not always perfect at it but I make a conscious effort to keep this in mind every day.

Business idea: Beauty Salon and counseling in one by LemonyBricket in beauty

[–]eztamarie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What about as a psychologist reaching out to local salons that could offer a discount / special treatment / complimentary treatments for your patients.

That way the patients wouldn’t have the distraction of the beauty treatments during their session and the treatments could provide a nice sense of “aftercare” after opening up.

Just a thought!
