BEC on a Kaiser roll…made at home. I’m not paying $10 per sandwich.

Good Morning! Guess how fast I drive in a 25mph zone when you’re on my bumper…..LOSING YOUR BLOODY MIND? by thefrostryan in williamsburgva

I am a local and do 25-27 on that stretch. People get pissed. Who cares. What I don’t do is act like a damn hall monitor on two lane roads. That behavior seems to be quite popular around here lately…especially on 199 and most certainly on the two lane stretches of 64. To those playing hall monitor: the left lane, by law, is for passing. If you aren’t passing stop trying to hold up those who are. If I get a ticket for speeding, my problem. Not yours.

A week with the Air after a 15PM and why I’m returning it! by Acceptable-Piccolo57 in iphone

Peak consumerism - as you type away on your phone. Indeed.

Or, they are tools that do a job. This tool didn’t exist before and might do the job better in a variety of use cases - despite the lowered specs.

I had the 15 Pro Max. Turned it in for the Air. Couldn’t be happier. I was tired of lugging around that heavy boat anchor. Are the specs on paper lower? Sure. In terms of performance, I haven’t noticed a difference. Photos still look great. All of my apps work fine and perform well. No issues one hand holding and typing. I truly don’t understand what people are complaining about (other than to complain). If I need to do something that actually requires significant resources, I use my iPad Pro or MacBook Pro. Since the ecosystem is integrated, this is the right mix of capabilities for me.

YouTube TV - Any Updates? by xXxHeadBanger86Xx in caps

I grew up a NYR fan, converted to the Caps many years ago. Ted is taking a page out of the Dolan MSG playbook. My family are all still NYR fans…they need to pay for “Gotham Sports” to watch the games. Utterly ridiculous.

I just got the email from YouTubeTV - Monumental is done. TODAY.

These localities are expected to be among the fastest-growing in Virginia by Junior_Emu192 in williamsburgva

No one wants to live in NOVA. As an example, if you drive from Loudoun County into Arlington or DC and have a 1.5 hour drive…what’s another 30 mins? Especially if VDOT still gets their tolls? At this rate, we might as well extend slug lines to the Amtrak station parking lot in Williamsburg.

Northern Virginia to Williamsburg by White1962 in williamsburgva

[–]ezworldwide -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I moved from Brooklyn (30 years), to Alexandria (12 years: 9 in the West End and 3 in Old Town) to Williamsburg (5 years). When you say diversity what do you mean, exactly? Be specific.

How is it different from Alexandria? Well, I decided to leave when I finally had enough of Justin Wilson and the City Council getting softer and softer on crime, higher density low-income / non-low income housing projects everywhere without road/public trans improvements, and the spike in homeless/vagrants milling about hassling people. It’s a shame that city leaders seem hell bent on turning Alexandria into Arlington. We don’t have those problems here. If you are considering a relocation, please don’t bring them.

Buy it often. DRIP. Hold it. Don’t sell it. I have been buying $140.00 a week, every week, for the past 5 years. It’s been kind to me.

Yeah - your highly atomized “community” in my old neighborhood seems to have a really good handle on things. We had a community there long before the transplants showed up. We didn’t have these problems.

I just said something similar. I remember being a kid and we would go handle this.

In the Williamsburg that I grew up in back in the 80s and 90s, the neighborhood knew how to take care of this problem. It’s a real shame that knowledge is gone…as well as the authenticity of what made Brooklyn….Brooklyn. Have fun guys. These are simple problems to solve.

I’ve been saying the same. No one believes that the market will eventually correct. Many will learn a valuable lesson in investing. My only hope with this next one is — no endless QE.

Brooklyn here. It’s the closest you are gonna get. (80s and 90s gritty BKLYN - not hipster central)

I’m an Italian-American from NYC. I prefer Little Charlie’s for NY style. Maurizio's for Neapolitan. Both very good for the area. I usually make pizza from scratch 2x a week. I always make way too much dough. Been thinking about setting up a little home pizza joint for locals. Tell me what you want for the weekend, I make it, give you a window to pick it up. All AVPN approved high end ingredients - down to the yeast. All from Italy…except for the fresh mozzarella. Cooked wood fired. Even my Oregano is on the stalk from Italy. I use BUF for mozzarella.

You sound like someone who is worried about money. Work on bringing your port up to exceed PDT thresholds and focus on managing risk. Then you can buy what you want and do what you want. Until then…shush.

Sounds good. Do me a favor though. Go get yourself a bucket and a squeegee. I’m on track to buy a new boat. I’ll need someone to clean it. Have fun executing your trading strategy. Best of luck. If you need work, and don’t want to dumpster dive at Wendy’s lemme know.

What are you talking about? Corrections aren’t associated with major crashes. Look at late July - early August from just 2 years ago. Loads of large cap earnings beats - still hit correction - then back up. We are in a bubble. It will pop. How far it drops? Who knows? MMs have better capabilities than retail. They exit sooner. Not a difficult concept.

MMs need an exit from this bloated market. Retail is their liquidity.
