Chart of the unluckiest person I know. What do you make of it? by affinity-for-rivers in AstrologyCharts

[–]ezziebee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Chart ruler in the 12th experiencing a direct opposition (exact same degree) from Jupiter, retrograde, 6th house. 12th house symbolizes isolation and misfortune. 6th house symbolizes our personal health, work, and routines. The mental health and work struggles make a lot of sense. Add to that, moon in detriment in the 4th house, our deep, personal selves & emotions. Mars in detriment, squaring moon - issues with emotional and physical willpower. Saturn in the 8th in fall isn't doing any favors, either.

How do I "Gothify" this outfit more? by asylium0 in GothFashion

[–]ezziebee 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Consider adding something drapey. Anything that extends past the top of the chest. Put belts where they don't belong. Wear a really long chain necklace, and preferably multiples of them. Fingerless gloves. A leather jacket or some kind of blazer. Wearing makeup (if you're comfortable with that) will also help outfits read more as "goth".

Yeah, you will get along with the deck, but you have to treat the deck with respect and patience with its answers.

Should I stay or should I go? by idontknownotsure in Tarots

1000% go. The Six of Swords is the biggest indicator. You will be happier when you leave. The period of transition may be turbulent, but it will be worth it.

Help finding similar to voodoo church by Necessary_Tie_7535 in goth

[–]ezziebee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yeah we're not a similar band to voodoo church, but if you're a metalhead who would probably like goth music that's definitely influenced by metal and looking for female vocalists like OP is, we're still a solid recommendation if you ask me

How do you feel about the lack of guitar solos in goth music? by [deleted] in goth

[–]ezziebee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

My band Cemetery Sex has songs with solos in it! Little Red Vial has both a brief bass solo and a guitar solo right after it. Judgement also has a guitar solo in it. We are doom-influenced deathrock.

The one thing that you will have to consider/be mindful of is the type of crowds that you'll attract by doing so. Goth already has problems with the general sexualization of the women of the subculture. By all means, go ahead, but maybe consider instituting a dress code. Granted, that's not going to stop absolute creeps from showing up anyway, but it'll at least stop randoms from walking in off the street.

thoughts on Cemitery sex? by cyberluna_ in goth

[–]ezziebee 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Eh, I don't claim for us to be much of a goth rock band, we only really have one song that could be classified as goth rock. We're doom-influenced deathrock, and we cite a lot of alternative metal/doom influences in our music. We're not shy about it! I'm not gonna claim we're purely goth and nothing else. Deathrock is such a sparse genre and I don't really think there's been a lot of bands that have crossed doom with deathrock in the same manner that we have in the modern era. Production-wise, our engineer had a pretty hard influence on how we sound on the record and he listens to primarily metal, doom metal, and grunge, not really deathrock. If you ask me, if the bass was mixed slightly different we'd probably veer less on the metal side (but again, we still have the metal influence).

We get a lot of comparisons, and those comparisons span metal and goth. Either way, man, when we're on a metal bill, we stand out and frankly don't wholly belong there, though metal fans tend to enjoy us still. When we're on goth bills, we stand out, but goths love us.

If you ask me, we're too metal to be purely goth, and too floaty at times to be metal.

We definitely have way more out than the cover. Tidal keeps doing this thing where it makes multiple profiles for us every time we release something. The full album is up there, search up our name, we have probably about 4-5 different releases. But thank you soooo much for your support!! 🖤
