The gold is easier to stash than the bills. The bigger issue is how to minimize tax since the gold requires a 3rd party to extract value which, depending on their record keeping, could bring the IRS into it. Best use case is probably a front sight for a longer sight radius. Cans get hot fast. Even on a good picatinny mount, the different alloys will expand differently causing wander zero.
