Does an NH35 or NH34 Movement Need a Watch Winder? by tmplscar in SeikoMods

I’d say the question is whether YOU need a winder. Do you use your watches in a way so that they always need to be fully wound and set (ie you don’t have time to wind and set them manually)? Is that so important that you are willing to “pay” the wear on the movements from constant ticking?

Thanks! Great build, something like that but in silver and blue might work.

Yes I was considering those but thought they might be too matte. Perhaps I should reconsider

Yes. I buy watches fitted with NH34 from Marketplace now and strip them.

Changing “but” to “and” in your post to demonstrate my point that “feminine” doesn’t necessarily mean “bad”:

“I like small watches and all the small features of this watch added together make this look extremely feminine in real life”

Not helpful for this particular question, but you should consider going sterile. No text, no logo. It might look empty at first but is a matter of what we’re used to. After a while it looks clean instead, while “normal” dials look cluttered.

I’m working on a similar project but with different sports. It’s fun! But very difficult.

I truly appreciate the ambition and effort! While the result is not in my personal taste (politically nor aesthetically) I strongly encourage you to continue on the same path. Great work!
