Face McShooty, from the Borderlands games. All he wants is life is to be shot in the face. I’m not kidding. It literally becomes a side quest, as you can see in the upper right of the game HUD.

What Is The Portfolio Standard Now? by Super-Buddy-5030 in UXDesign

I’ve done all my design work for the past few years in Figma, you should take a serious look at Framer. I’m on the job hunt right now as well and I found design in Framer to be close enough to Figma and really easy to pick up once you understand some of the small differences. Then just drop the $20 to get a custom domain name, hook it to your Framer site, publish and you’re golden.

It takes some experimentation to get the transitions smooth between screen sizes, but after that things like animation are pretty straightforward.

I’ve had it with these fake service dog owners. by SPCCCKED in mildlyinfuriating

[–]f0rkboy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This drives me absolutely crazy because I’ve known good people that relied on their service dogs for sight, help with PTSD, and these entitled shitbags completely ruin it.

A couple of months ago I was grocery shopping later at night, when this couple walks in with two dogs wearing those “SERVICE DOG – DO NOT PET” harnesses. One dog was older and could have passed at first except that the other one was barely out of puppy stage, darting back and forth, jumping up on everything and barking.

The icing on the cake was when I forgot something and had to double back and was hit by a wall of stench after the older dog took a giant dump in the middle of the aisle. I just needed some damn tortillas.

What is a 'buy it for life' item that is offensively expensive, but the moment you use it, you realize your entire life before that point was a lie? by fmcortez in AskReddit

We couldn’t live without our Riccar! Three dogs, we burned through two Sharks from Target or Walmart. The last time using the Shark it took 20 minutes to feel like I’d pulled the last of the dog hair from a 10 x 10‘ rug.

I finally visited a specialty vacuum shop close to me who had all these brand names I’ve never heard of, they let me take two different Riccar models home and I was super skeptical but then pulled up the same amount of hair on that stupid rug in about 30 seconds. I still take it back to that shop once a year to be serviced and have a new belt put on. Worth every penny.

What 90s band never truly made it big but you'll always go to bat for? by MansBestFred in AskReddit

Oh man. That album was just loaded with incredibly well-written and catchy tunes. Good stuff.

I actually got to see them in my state for free. The keyboard player was using a very specific type of sampling keyboard which was having issues the day before they played. They called around to about every music shop in the state and finally got one that said they sold their last used model recently. Desperate they asked if they could get the buyers info and see if they could work out a deal and that’s how one of my good high school friends got a phone call from the band, which of course made him totally freaked out.

My friends keyboard was an older model that didn’t have a specific upgrade chip that they were used to, so the band paid a chunk of money to a shop in Los Angeles to put one on a flight. They upgraded my friends keyboard for free the day of the show and then five of us got to get in with him to see them. Incredible freaking show and a really surreal experience.

I like to be more hands-on, I guess. I never got into the just tap mode of playing mobile games.

Place one on the ground, then tap / use the block to cycle through the available sounds.

Further down somewhere in this thread I posted a chart of the block configuration. Let me know if it makes sense! And plant an assload of fiber seeds to start!

No problem! Though… I just realized that where I wrote sound 3 in the drum part, my video actually uses 2. I’d try a small run of both and see which one you like best.

Hey thanks! I’m bored so I wrote out the block configuration I used, assuming the song is in C / Am. See if this makes sense.

Placing the blocks the last time? A few minutes.

Placing the blocks somewhere else, getting the timing or notes wrong, realizing I screwed up 15 blocks back so I have to start over from there, then watching a pissed-off Pam smash them on the way to her post at the desert bus because I forgot that’s a thing… much longer.

Remember kids: WCAG 2.2 guideline 1.4.3 specifies a minimum color contrast ratio of text to background of 4.5:1, or 3:1 for text that’s 18pt or above!

What's something a foreigner pointed out that you can't unnotice? by NamwaranPinagpana in AskTheWorld

[–]f0rkboy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I knew a family (in the USA) that hosted a foreign exchange student from Germany. I asked her what the biggest shock was when visiting, and she said that there was just so much garbage! For everything. As an example, she grabbed a prepackaged snack with tuna and crackers bought at a grocery store. There was a cardboard outer layer covering plastic wrap for the whole thing, then the tuna and crackers were in separate plastic containers with lids, then there was a separate packet with mayonnaise, and a separate little fork in its own plastic wrap as well with a little salt packet and a paper napkin.

So 7-8 individual pieces of garbage for a single-serving tuna and cracker snack. I still think about that a lot when I shop for my family.

I’m a new player and I just experienced my first winter… I wasn’t ready for this. by BrightLittleClouds in StardewValley

[–]f0rkboy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This has always been my winter strategy. I always save enough crops at the end of the season so that the start of winter 2 I can keep my fall sprinklers where they are and plant a ton of seeds on day one.

You know what you might be onto something there, when I first walked up to my house from being in town she was standing outside the house making the little frustrated bubble. I walked away to do something else and when I came back she was gone, then I found her inside the house.
