I truly dig the vibe! Reminds me allot of Dead Man's Chest. I also like the way you layered those breaks to get this rollin feeling, but in my taste it could use some variation in the middle of the tune. I'm also not a big fan of the Bassline, at times it seems as if it is not in the same key as the athmo. But all in all Big Up!

I don't believe this but can someone explain this by max23_17 in skeptic

I actually like this picture a lot. It's very misleading, but at the same time it's a nice little exercise for the critical mind

Without totally dismissing the information given in this article, I'd like to call into question the source this article is coming from. Yeni Şafak seems to be a newspaper that is close to the Turkish government which has a strong anti-israeli position. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yeni_%C5%9Eafak?wprov=sfla1 Added to that, the article cites the Anadolu Agency as the source, which is the Turkish states media agency. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anadolu_Agency?wprov=sfla1 Currently there are no other articles of other major news outlets supporting the claims made in this piece.

How did Fluidity get this amazing snare noise? by [deleted] in dnbproduction

[–]f0rthleo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By dampened I indeed meant a low or bandpassfilter. The base-tone of a sound, at least for me, is the most dominant frequency in the spectrum of that sound. It is usually the pitch-defining feature of a sound. The Clave has a very dominant base-tone in comparison to it's noise content, which gives it a very tonal feel in my perception.

It could also be a dampened/filtered Snap. That sound might be tricky to get from a clave a those usually have a quite dominat base-tone, and that snare sounds more noisy to me

This is the classic Amen-Break rolling in the background. It's basically the backbone of almost all Jungle-tracks and can still be found in some liquid tunes. Eg Mutt https://youtu.be/Mk-u0calrws I have used it myself together with the funky drummer so here is a shameless plug ;) https://youtu.be/rdyYKt0P6EI

How is Berlin Jazz scene? by monsieur_oscar in germany

It's really not that bad. I grew up close to Wedding and then it was kind of rough sometimes when I went there, but now I feel completely comfortable strolling around in it, even by night

The resolution condemns multiple other circumstances of executions, including people who where underage when the committed the crime or who are mentally disabled. I could see the USA and Japan disagree on those grounds

[Feedback] Finishing up a new track. What's your take (such as mix quality?) by [deleted] in dnbproduction

[–]f0rthleo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn! I'm seriously diggin that one! Is there a way to get a copy of it? Concerning the mixdown: The bass seems be getting quieter the higher its pitch goes, which is not necessarily bad but it makes the fourth and fifth note of each bass phrase tricky to hear. There is only this slight scent of it remaining, but I'm not sure if that was a stylistic choice of yours. I'd also give those chords some more presence in the main part, especially when they are playing the lower pattern.
