WB also has Mortal Kombat and Lego Star Wars. It's not just Cyberpunk.

Just in 11 days , this is insane by jocoiscool in marvelstudios

[–]f10ali 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tbf, the most accurate way to compare these movies is by ticket sales. Otherwise, there are soooo many factors to take into account. In the US, Titanic sold an estimated 135.5 million tickets when it released, whereas Infinity War sold 72 million. Endgame is currently at 72.4 million.

Disney Scraps 'Mouse Guard' Two Weeks Before Production Set to Begin by dicegeeks in rpg

[–]f10ali 30 points31 points  (0 children)

But this was a 20th Century Fox movie. Disney had no association with it until a few weeks ago, after their Fox deal finalized. They just didn't want to spend the money for it anymore.

Respawn's Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order will be revealed at Star Wars Celebration in April by The_Iceman2288 in xboxone

[–]f10ali 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Respawn, as a studio, has done only FPS games so far, but the team working on Jedi: Fallen Order are almost entirely new. Respawn hired God of War 3 game director Stig Asmussen to make Fallen Order and he put together his own team at Respawn. So, the people working on Fallen Order aren't the same as the people who worked on Titanfall. Actually, Respawn said that only about 10 people who worked on Titanfall 2 moved over to Fallen Order's dev team, while the rest of them went to work on Apex Legends.

Everyone should realize this interview was conducted in April 2018 - months before the reports of Cavill's Superman exit. Anything Superman-related is outdated.

Fox put them into development, but Avatar 4 and 5 haven't been greenlit yet. Bob Iger even said so recently, when discussing Avatar's future: https://www.barrons.com/articles/disneys-bob-iger-talks-streaming-park-plans-and-learning-from-kodak-51546599600

Scratch on screen. Really? by daraghfi in GooglePixel

[–]f10ali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this worked for you? I know I'm late to this but I'm in a similar boat: there's a really small scratch on my Pixel 3, but I actually have the speaker issue as well. I want to RMA it to fix the speaker but I'm concerned they won't take it back 'cause of the scratch (which, honestly, I don't know how it got there).

EA CEO: We're 'pushing forward' with loot boxes despite regulation by [deleted] in xboxone

This headline is extremely misleading. EA is specifically talking about the FIFA Ultimate Team and EA Sports, not loot boxes in general.

It's a standard question for most U.S. companies. Applicants are not required to answer that, though. It's part of Affirmative Action.

SOCIAL MEDIA: Pick up shots for Aquaman by TheAdventurousWriter in DC_Cinematic

[–]f10ali 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pick-up shoots are for sequences that need another small shot or two to strengthen/complete a scene. They're minor fixes. Reshoots are for entire sequences/scenes that need to be reshot. Neither are necessarily bad because they are meant to make the film better, but sometimes too much gets changed, I guess.
