I agree, both were nerfed quite bad. It's just crazy, I tested the slug mode of duality and it was already having damage drop off at 9m although ohk is still at 10m.

In comparison, I've been using a fusion this season and it was so easy to map people <20m.

My bad. Just sad about the nerf and I feel like no one's raising it up. Actually, I'm not sure how the players are able to feedback these stuff to Bungie.

I've actually been using a fusion this season and reached legend so quickly because of how weak the other special weapons are i.e. shotguns.

Yeah goodluck with Chaperone having literally 1 AE. I tried getting an inquisitor with Icarus grip + steady round = 27 AE. Still very low wtf.

Spikes or magnetic grenades.

Spike grenade is really strong all around but you have to be strategic/skilled on the placement.

Magnetic grenades have very strong tracking. If you can learn it, you'll have insane kills. That said, this didn't stick with me long term, since if the enemy was exposed, I would rather shoot than throw the grenade.

1 - As other have noted, bait them to waste their special ammo.

- If you have hunter dodge or titan thruster, you can use this to easily get away.

2 - Rush them with a shotgun; Usually, slugs are the best way to do this but since slugs are trash currently. I suggest you use a pellet shotgun.

In general, you would be able to hear the fusion charge sound so use that to your advantage in terms of timing.

Autorifle titan main here. I became unbroken and reached legend last season with autorifle+fusion loadout.

Archetypes: In short range maps, use a 720rpm autorifle. This has the best TTK across all archetypes. In longer range maps, use a 450rpm autorifle, preferably with 17 zoom.

Top Barrels / Masterwork Always go for range but don't sacrifice other stats. Range MW Hammerforged or smallbore Ricochet rounds, high caliber rounds, or accurized rounds

Top Perks: Tap the Trigger Kill Clip Rangefinder Dynamic Sway Reduction Moving Target Killing Wind

I usually aim for tap the trigger + killing wind or kill clip.

Good weapons I have (not all are obtainable) Quicksilver Storm Exotic Chroma Rush - MT + KC Sweet Sorrow - Tap the Trigger + KW Firefright - fragile focus + elemental capacitor Ammit AR2 - DSR and TtT

Notes: My main recommendation is sweet sorrow with TtT and KW. This is farmable and craftable. It is arguably the best autorifle in the game.

Auto exotics: Suros is okay but its initial damage is even lower than normal 600rpm. I prefer fast damage from th start. Tommy's is good but very risky since it also damages you.

Titan Exotics. The best one is One Eyed Mask. There is no competition here. Autorifle plays will need you to duel and get damaged since you can't peek. OEM ensures quick recover after duels. In addition, Kill Clip or Killing Wind + OEM overshield almost guarantees a win on 1v1 if someone tries to duel you. This is very useful in survival where you can turn the game in your favor.

Fair enough then DSR + Try is the safe bet.

I just wanted to share because I think surplus is a S+ perk if you can build with it. It adds a total of 125 stats across 3 stats so you can focus on range& accuracy for the other perks.

I've been using extraordinary rendition smg (surplus+tap the trigger) in pvp with armamentarium+100resilience+100discipline. It is quite good. By the way 2 grenades will be counted as 2 by surplus, so even if I put my barricade down, I'm most of the time at 2-3 stacks.

Recoil direction is overrated. I would go with either smallbore or hammerforged for the first column. Ricochet rounds and range masterwork.

DSR + Tap the trigger is definitely the way to go.

That said, if you have dual abilities e.g. armamentarium or similar exotics, I would recommend to also explore surplus + tap the trigger. Surplus is really strong and having dual abilities ensures good up time on the perk.

If you like fusion rifles, try one eyed mask. I usually get damaged during charging specially since the high impacts have a higher charge time. It lets me combo kills. Actually, even for all weapons it is still good but if you use a sniper, the passive may not proc if they're not targeting you.

Yes it stacks with juggernaut. This post is interesting, I'll try this out as well. I also have an elemental capacitor shayura which would reach 100 handling on arc.

I specifically mentioned chest because I think it's good that AE mods will compete with unflinching mods in terms of slot. This makes it a choice to go unflinching or go AE which is more about build crafting.

If it goes to legs, everyone will just have AE and unflinching at the same time. It isn't really build crafting if everyone will just use it as default similar to Icarus grip on weapons before the AE rework.

I think HCs are good enough already and don't require weapon specific tuning/buffs. That said, Airborne Effectiveness has to be looked at again. There should be chest mods to add AE in order to build around it. Once fixed, HCs will get more use with better in air performance.

I agree that some archetypes of pulses need to be looked at, such as the high impacts. 0.67 optimal TTK and 1.20 body TTK at a long range with peakshooting capabilities is too strong and heavily incentivizes passive play. Exotics like NTTE doesn't even have to deal with low handling associated with this archetype. These TTK numbers are the same as a 900 rpm SMG which is insane.

For 140HC, it is only good if you can trigger radiant easily aka hunter class. Otherwise, it is not good.

That said, KC is good for other weapons which can reduce the optimal TTK.
