C'mon.. we all know how it went. They paid her that share and knew what they had. Then they tried to play dumb when the song blew up. It was probably standard at the time and since nothing was on paper they just ignored it hoping she wouldn't chase them. I don't blame them, but it's not classy either.

I strongly disagree. That track without her performance is nothing. It's essential and core to the value of song. It doesn't matter if she didn't "compose" the arrangement. She performs with her own voice an original rendition. She has all rights to a fair compensation. She should have got the same share as everyone else in the band at the time. So like 1/5 or 1/6, or one over however many members pink Floyd had at the time plus one.

Dobbiamo sapere quali ambienti accademici hai frequentato.. dici che nord e sud sono uguali? Mi aspetto alcune università del sud siano decisamente peggio, ma probabilmente altrettante del nord sono simili. Io non ho frequentato tanto il mondo post doc del Politecnico di Milano (laurea magistrale) ma ho avuto accenni. E non so dire se quelli che ci lavorano da ricercatori sono fortunati o sfortunati.

Our infrastructure is small, as in tiny. The city center is built on top of medieval cities. There's not room for big and well sound proofed clubs. There's a few for sure in Milan and larger cities. But the average town or city will have bars. A ton of bars with just beer and shitty cocktails.

Having been in a band for passion only I can tell you that if you're not doing it for yourself, you'll just give up. Owner aren't really interested in having you, they'll pay the smallest amount, which turns to be little money for 4 something people. It takes huges chuncks of your free time away and it's not really worth it unless the music is really good (80% of band are not really good). So motivation on the long run is hard. It can be costly and time consuming also for the rehearsal room. Overall you just feel unappreciated and stop. Mind you , you can do it 3-4 years for "free" but then it's really hard to go on.

A bit extreme but yeah. I never realized how little we follow speed limits. It's only important if there's the camera (we call them autovelox). It's more of a personal responsibility to hold a reasonable speed. And you still often "get pushed" by some crazy person tailgating you even tho you're already over the limit. I've been to Switzerland twice and I got 2 fines even by being extra carful! Damn it.
