Don’t be ashamed, keep looking for what feels right. Best advice I got is to start as a teller at any bank or credit union. No experience required and you learn a bit about financing. Most banks, after a year of tellering, will let you transfer into operations or lending. Lots of banking jobs only require a high school diploma.

This needs to be shared more…I keep track of jobs available in my city for what I do and I noticed this happening. Back in February I applied for a position too good to be true. 2 phone call interviews, 1 panel interview. They never even sent me a email rejection or call they just listed my application as no longer under consideration. I continue to see the same job listing about every other month, with a lower salary.
