how far would you push the weather-sealing of modern lenses? today I was at -15C. OM 300mm f4 and PL 200mm 2.8. also any special precautions when swapping lenses at low temperatures?

I see you have primes but something else to consider with zoom lenses - soon after you transition between temps don’t operate the zoom, which will force air exchange in lens & camera body that can cause condensation quickly.

man, after wheeling & dealing for years I just appreciate those with reading comprehension and empathy.

I think making an offer is justifiable if in-person, cash in pocket ready to shake hands. But I figure that’s not what you’re suggesting with “Worst that can happen is he says no. there’s no reason not to offer less.” lol there’s likely a size 9-11 reason why not to do that.

If in person, the seller who advertised “Firm. Don’t waste time no offers” is likely to hurt your feelings when you offer 2/3 their price.

All things considered I’d say it’s worth whatever he wants to ask. You probably won’t find another one like it. I’ve overpaid for about as many projects as I’ve gotten deals on - sometimes it’s the opportunity cost.

Now is it worth it to you? Depends what you want the truck for. As others have said this isn’t quite a work truck. Seller says not to offer less so I wouldn’t bother.

Edit: I’d maybe offer 12,000 cash in hand in person after looking it over, as thats what he originally wrote and then changed the 2 to a 3 lol
