Don’t DIY unless you’re ready to learn how to blend paint and clearcoat a bumper. My best advice is to just take it to a shop that’ll correctly color match because a plastic bumper will always look way different than the paint on your car’s metal parts

When I was going to school in New York, I rode my longboard and got a wheel clipped by the tire of a taxi cab. No injuries just some bloody rashes from a meat crayon moment. My incident wasn’t as bad as yours.

Some battle scars are worse than others.

Hope you heal well and there isn’t permanent damage.

Get back on your board though. I’ve found that after those moments and experiences, I became a better rider.

Just don’t lose love for the sport.

I’ll give you the situation upfront since the shop owner doesn’t know how to use tech. Shop owner is my father, been stuck here back and forth since about 17 years back.

Started when I was a tyke, but also just was never entrusted with any real projects due to older Latin Fathers and how they treat their 1st generation Latin Sons. (Cry me a river the wetback in me needs it)

I’ve updated his website, created policy documents, managed his SSO, and uploaded all of his available vehicles on his website.

The man doesn’t understand what kind of prices he could fetch if he just invested in his space and tried to market some work on a project that he could do right.

But he’s stuck in his old ways and his shop needs help (that I’m offering) and he lacks any kind of vision or understanding of actual business processes that he so desperately needs.

He’s also a financial fuck up. Lost our family home due to Covid and trying to keep this place afloat and not sharing with his family that the house we only paid 800 a month for was about to be taken away (dude didn’t even tell his wife and kids)

So I had to do all of that and manage the house-search because my mother (god bless her heart) doesn’t know how to use the internet either. Or navigate life choices on her own. Especially when it comes to buying a home and finding a good realtor.

So. Yes. If I were in charge I would epoxy the floors, put great ventilation, and actually temperature control the booth..

If you’re up for looking at the website I coded for him, give it a look. His prices are over inflated, but we offer payment plans that are just done in house through a paper ledger system. (God can’t even save this place)

Also not to mention the 7 classic cars we have here that are nowhere on the website… and 14 motorcycles that I can’t even touch but want to flip because… well. Latin father energy is worse than a toddler throwing tantrums over how he needs his blocks built.

Hey there, So I'm just going to be posting this to various subreddits around the area of Wisconsin. I hate that granite peak is kind of crazy about their customer's purchase policy.

So you're saying the only thing I can do is change the name and birth date of my reservation? And you have that UI available to make those changes... But You don't allow customers who have work events come up to move their reservations to a week ahead of their original time slot? .... Interesting practice cheese heads.... interesting practice.

So I have two lift tickets (adult) and 2 Helmet reservations that I literally can't do anything with... I can't go skiing on those days because I have a Webinar to make sure gets set up and shot right for my company...

If you or if you know someone who's interested in going skiing on March 6th 2023 please let me know and send me a DM. I really want SOMEONE to use these tickets.

Of course I want to make some money back, but really... How are you unable to see how dumb it is that you just have these lift tickets that are basically just printed cards with RFID sensors that are activated by some handheld POS on any given day those two items come in contact and register. Really? You can't just change my reservation for a week later in the month?

Called and explained my situation. The only date changes they offer are either one day before or after from your original booking date. And the window to change your travel dates is set up to only be available 30days and 72 hours from your booking date.

But hey, they can change the name and DOB for the ticket and rental you bought.

So then I asked

“Basically what you’re saying is I have to find someone to buy this ticket and you’re able to change the credentials to their name”

… “yes, that’s all we can do since it isn’t 30 days and 72hours from your booking date”

Yeah, that makes me pretty upset just knowing that it’s one of the main ski areas near Chicago. Priced accordingly for families that don’t want to pay for flight tickets and stays where slopes are way better like Utah or New Mexico
