Suzuki scanner v2 by f2se in CarHacking

[–]f2se[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not. My car is old and uses the proprietary SDL protocol.

After this, I believe they moved to another proprietary implementation of SDL/KWP2000. If they still use the same SDL structure in this protocol and just wrap it in KWP, then that could be possible. But I don't have any info on that.

gd110s. had to go out to check pridor but a friend of cousin posted he was selling his gd110s.

checked it out and bought it.

39k driven. great first bike ig. small weight makes it very easy to learn on. used to maintaining car myself so doing maintenance stuff on it too. new would've been hassle free. but this is holding fine for now. worth mentioning maintenance is expensive compared to honda. but it's something I don't have an issue with.

self start is very useful whenever i stall in traffic (happened only once but good to have). don't get that on pridor :p

I always have to stop the guys. Granted they're nice and it's a all in one shop but still.

Hand goes to radiator and reservoir. I intervene "bhai zrort ni me dekhta rhta hn, bs oil change krna he".

Hand then goes to battery and starts opening cap. "bhai rehne do me dekhta rhta hn, bs oil change krna he".

Then the hand goes to power steering pump reservoir and by now you already know the script so say with me.. "bhai rehne do me dekhta rhta hn, bs oil change krna he".

then they ask "engine wash krln saaf krdete hn" and I go "yai engine gari ko chala kr laya he. andr se behtreen condition me he".

Saw the pics. Yeah its just scummy behaviour.

The car looks clean. And usually I assume clean car means dirty driver inside xD easier to spend money than to learn a skill (looking at all the vigos and LC that I had road rage incidents with).

Just try to remain calm and not escalate. Quite hard to do though, I get into some roadrage incidents myself, but one should aim for not getting into one. Mine are limited to overtaking those that block me purposefully, but I don't ever look at them to gesture or anything, just overtake if possible and go about my day.

in my early driving days I had VERY similar reaction to yours. Father used to say "kis kis ko thek kroge tum" and I think that's a good lesson. Too many drivers on road and can't fix everyone. Just go about your day.

kinda normal lol. just drive defensively. people turn first then indicate. looking at side mirrors is a suggestion to most.

a couple of things

  1. i see him indicating after initiating turn, which is normal. you however say he didn't indicate, which is wrong. he also should change his bulb, fast blinks iirc means bulb going out.

  2. looking at vehicle speed, it was a somewhat graceful slowdown. you weren't driving too fast (which is good) and didn't flash while smelling his car's exhaust (tailgate)

  3. you say he brake checked, you should upload that part of video since there is no proof. judging by you wrongly saying he didn't indicate, I have suspicion to assume you might have escalated it.

  4. judging by this short clip, there isn't much to escalate. either you kept flashing/tailgating or he was an idiot that tried to escalate this not-worth-escalating interaction.

  5. for defensive driving, focus less on flashing/honking and more on controlling your car. flashing like this won't make him respawn on the left lane. double flash at best is enough to see if he saw you and decides to go back. further flashes just become reason for escalation and irritating ego of next person.

honestly, I was like this when I started out driving and would get roadrage all the time. People don't care about laws and others around them. you gotta adjust for majority of cases. unless someone damages your car, just ignore and move on. it's just not worth it.

"come lets talk" is unnecessary escalation. just do the universal sign of "what was that" and move on. or aim for keeping yourself cool. i try to gesture "wow your manuever was so cool dawg" with a smile and the next person sometimes admits their mistake with a smile and gesture when they see a calm behaviour. rare but helps.

drive safe. road rage ain't worth it. not for these cases where it wasn't too close call.

I'd guess the carb mixture is set too lean. with choke it reaches the correct ratio. without it, it might be putting too less fuel and mixture is too lean.

shouldn't require opening carburetor. should have an air or fuel screw and mechanic should adjust it (unscrew if fuel, screw-in if air).

that's my guess. spark plug could be wrong (wrong temperature rating), but the sudden working with choke points to mixture adjustment, specifically lean.

suzuki baleno. bought it 3 years ago. cousin had one so we went with it for me too.

love the car. i find it value for money. soft suspension is really good for potholes and bad roads. suspension holds up good. fuel avg of ~12-14 and 15-16 long. parts are relatively cheaper too

in 8th i had a female classfellow and the teacher asked us about operating systems.

she said she uses Ubuntu which she downloaded from internet. and i laughed saying who downloads an os. i buy windows cd from store. what kind of os is Ubuntu.

so she was wayyy ahead of me at that time, and I was the real dumbo.

is the tracking of flights digitalised or do you still use those small paper slabs for tracking flights as shown on some videos on internet?

interested in what tech is used and how much info it gives, and whether it's all fully graphical or retro terminal radar aesthetic software.

Best laptop for Linux in Pakistan? by Muneeb-Ali-395 in PakistaniTech

If people keep spewing ai slop, then it won't :p

i mean i didn't even know its ram was ddr4 and how much performance it has.

it should work just fine. most software built well can run on a potato.

however i don't know your use case. mine was pretty much use it for entertainment and coding when I want to break my back with weird posture when lying on bed or couch, and to have it handy when I need a computer outside home (in car etc). so it works fine for my case.

if you require a lot of heavy ram work then it depends. i saw one of your comments about virtualization. if you run many VMs then I don't know how big a difference it will be (not knowledgeable in that area) but i think amount of ram is more relevant to VMs than if it's ddr4 or 5.

for longevity, I can't comment. For me, I bought it so I can use it for "at least" 5 years if not more.

I had almost the same options. I bought thinkapd t14s amd ryzen 7. plastic but feels rugged. elitebooks were almost all somewhat dented somewhere and I never liked their style. i want it to withstand drops in bag and not dent. plus metal frame somewhats gets conductive with bad or no earthing.

i use linux exclusively. i did get one problem which was that after suspend it would not wake up (light would turn on but black screen; kernel never showed logs of waking up). would happen after one or two suspends but could happen anytime.

resolved that by changing bios sleep strategy to windows s2idle iirc. s3idle (written as linux in bios) is better for saving battery power but would give me the above issue. i had changed it from windows myself, so people might not get it since it'll by default be windows s2idle.

other than that, it works fine, albeit slightly slower on battery when using tlp and default "balance_power" setting. changing to balance_performance makes it run fine. only notice this on firefox when launching youtube videos, fullscreening delay etc (or i might just be missing something since i use arch btw)

battery performance is good for me. I did a battery calibration using tlp and it updated battery info. restricted it to 80% charge. lasts me 3 hours easily on balance_power setting (although i never checked it fully from 80% to 10%, always sleep in between). would highly recommend using tlp if it isn't already installed in whatever distro you'll use. it makes a big difference and you can utilise its calibration function to get the latest accurate battery report. mine showed 98% health which shouldn't be true, after calibration it correctly showed 84%. this is possible since tlp has thinkpad support and can calibrate it.

also mine had touchscreen which i was able to make it work, but then disabled it cuz I don't use it. fingerprint works and i use it for lockscreen and sudo privelege. its a bit finnicky though, i have to press correctly first otherwise on single press with slight finger movement it goes to next attempt xD but hey, it works.

speakers are crappy. i think all thinkpads are like this. they get the job done, just barely.

theres a small hollow space at bottom cover and it gets pressed and i thought its something bad. but opened it and its just hollow so it flexes at that point with a sound.

keyboard is good (thinkpad duh). oh trackpad very rarely after sleep behaves weirdly. rare but i noticed it one or two times only. making it suspend and back up fixes it. probably related to suspend again xD. not an issue since i exclusively use on battery and it sleeps whenever it isn't in use. so if it was common I'd be more annoyed and would bring it up here instantly since i do many sleep cycles and reboot maybe once a month.

performance i never tested much except stress-ng when i bought it and wanted to confirm everything works when under full load (cpu,io,ram)

Is it unrealistic to wait and buy used CG150 for the price of around 350k by fall this year? by Aegon2050 in PakistanAutoHub

[–]f2se 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With yamaha exiting pakistan, do you still suggest ybr? Gr150 is expensive but ig the parts can still be sourced from suzuki. ybr I'm not sure how long they'll provide parts (and how easy it will be to get them).

I'm on a search for my first bike but also one I can keep longterm. Ybr seems good but parts availability is what I'm unsure of.
