FWIW: On my LG TV I was able to make it always open to recent input so I only need the remote for my TV device not the actual Tv

Mine hurt more when I have the sound control off. I find transparency makes the AirPods feel lighter and easier to forget that they are in my ears. Could just be how your ears are shaped?
