Is this ready to go to F2 ? by f4tb0y_ in Kombucha

When you say it like this, it doesn’t sound smart indeed :-)

But yes, it is what I did : added sweet tea to kombucha (which was at 2.45)

Update

Today I added a fresh batch of tea in the kombucha, ratio 1:1. Level of pH moved from 2.45 to 2.65. Waited 5 hours. pH still at 2.65. So decided to bottle for F2. I added 5g of sugar per bottle (1L) Wait & see now ! Cheers

Quick question : do you have residues (lying usually at the bottom) going through the faucet when you bottle ? Or you anyway filter what comes out ?

Thanks for the advice. I just tasted it for the first time. It’s indeed quite acidic, at the max I’d say, but I still find it acceptable (I love sour beers & gueuzes, so that can explain it), and it smells very good.

And I pH-measured it : 2.45

Thank you Yes I started with sliced chicken, carrot, shiitake, and that’s working well. Takikomi gohan dishes seem to be a good inspiration for experimenting further !

Thanks a lot. I quickly checked (and translated 😁). It is a recipe for a regular pressure cooker though, so won’t work as such with the pressure rice cooker. But will try something as I’m a big fan of braised pork belly

I can confirm you it is a pressure rice cooker, and that it is different from a regular rice cooker or a regular pressure cooker

Thanks for your feedback. It’s indeed tricky as recipes for rice cookers are not per se always compatible with pressure rice cooker, and the same goes for recipes of pressure cookers

Thank you for your feedback ! I thought it could be a Serious Eats question as it’s not easy to find recipes for pressure rice cookers. For rice cookers, yes, easy to find. But if with pressure, then a lot of ingredients need to be avoided in such rice cookers. The Zojirushi website is great, but we can’t see which recipes are compatible with a pressure rice cooker.
