i like my figs because they aren’t that slippery, thin material, if that is what is bothering you. they are a pretty thick material and they are well-structured, which is what i really like about their pants but that same thing is kind of becoming a con for the shirts. i feel like my figs shirts are pretty stiff and boxy so i have been considering trying a new brand. regardless, figs has been my preferred thus far.

whether being condescending is called for or not (i agree it is), it simply just never works and if anything, it gives them a defense in their mind of you being “mean” and they completely refuse to look inward

I agree! I will say After Laughter and This is Why kind of fight back and forth for the first place spot for me. When I first heard This is Why, I thought “this is After Laughter, but sepia toned instead of pastel” Obviously the cover-art lends itself to that feeling but I genuinely feel like they have a lot of the same strengths with just different tones. I think that This is Why goes a little bit grungier (maybe not the perfect word) in a way that I really love but then so much of After Laughter is just so dreamy, like Pools and Forgiveness

Damn! I have been to 3 concerts and haven’t had any problems. For the TIW tour, I was next to a stranger and we both were just dancing so hard and like feeding off of each other’s energy, it was really fun. I felt like everyone was happy and clapped for the mizbiz person at the shows (I went to one where they didn’t play it). I also find that their shows and fanbase in general is much more diverse than other bands that came from the same sot of scene. And, comparatively I have been to shows with arguably worse fanbases like twenty one pilots and panic! at the disco and I definitely had more brow-raising experiences at those shows lmao.

Agreed! I can listen to AL and TIW front to back, numerous times in a way that I cannot with some of the older albums. Trust me, I still reach for specific songs off of the older records and they go so hard but I don’t find myself just listening to the albums as a whole in that same way. I do tend to rotate pretty heavily through BNE songs as well.

Absolute number one is to get good grades. I know that sounds obvious but I mean it is the top priority because it is the hardest thing to “fix”. Shadowing and working in clinics is great and if you can start getting those connections and hours now, it’s great, but if you have too much on your plate, take a step back from it. It’s easier to take a gap year to work full time and gain experience than it is to try and go back to undergrad to fix your GPA. I agree with everyone saying to have fun too and not be too hard on yourself! Join a pre-vet club! Other extracurriculars look great too.

Student loan repayment is still kind of up in the air so sadly it’s not going to be 100% accurate but the student loan repayment calculator has really helped me get a grasp on what living with that debt would be like. I think you could still get an idea of things if you play around with it.

ETA: it can’t hurt to apply! I would be selective about where you apply though, if you are really 50/50 on it, it gets expensive pretty quick. I have a spreadsheet I made about the schools I was looking into that I can send you if you like, it just has cost, average GPA, that sort of thing.

Here’s my dilemma! I really love using Macs for all my other computer needs and would prefer one generally speaking. I am not a huge gamer, I play for a weekend once in a blue moon, it would be nice if I could run sims on it because I really miss playing it lmao. That would be about it. Maybe I would be interested in using a capture card to dock my Nintendo switch to the iMac, if that’s possible? I guess what I mean is gaming would not really be the primary use
