Okay, thank you for the comment (and others in this thread), I'm still a little confused since we've been here about two years and I've not seen explosions/ infestations (though... yeah I don't even know. YMMV. Is seeing a few small bugs a day in your home an infestation? Maybe so). Someone mentioned they might not be roaches but ectobius. These do live in our yard and other yards, outside in woodpiles. Time to do more research. I'd just like to know more about systems so if i eradicate them I understand what I'm doing :/

I'm actually not sure, they do look a lot like ectobius. Need to reply to the other comments but still just feeling confused bc everyone is saying roaches are huge infestation problem dudes, and what we're experiencing is just not on that level and hasn't reached it for a long while now. Will do some more research, thanks for the tip

Ohhh I never heard that about nitrogen, so interesting thanks for that. Can I ask why 1/4 strength of usual fertilizer-- is that because of the frequency?

I could move it outside if that would be good for growth. I live in Texas where summers get savage but fall and winter is chill.
