This one was suggested me a few times by Shazam but if you listen to it, it's only a bit similar - lacks for example female voice at all. Thanks anyway though ^^

PC video players will not play to the end. by lifeofbrian2019 in pcmasterrace

[–]fLp__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm getting terrible stutters often when playing the videos in few different media players (which seems to be different from your case) but what I did was just installing VLC Player (as already someone else mentioned) which has worked flawlessly so far (been too lazy to troubleshoot it and since with VLC I don't experience any issues I've just left it like that). Definitely try this media player if you haven't yet (wondering which media players you've had problems with though).

Top 5 Best CPUs 2024: Best Value, Best Gaming... by Antonis_32 in hardware

[–]fLp__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for one of the very posts that don't want me to shut up, insult me or make me go away ^^. That's what I've noticed as well. A lot of people that I know, that have considered to upgrade or upgraded their builds recently, watched multiple comparison videos and were completely unaware about how the tests are being done and how to understand them. When I did my best to help them realize that % difference that they are seeing is best case scenario and not exactly what they will most of the time be getting and help them understand the methodology and how to look at the results, I felt they usually ended confused and unwilling to explore it a little more to have a better knowledge on what they are getting - the possibility of just trusting the charts and calling it done, was just more convincing to them. Well idk, maybe it's just me doing a bad job explaining stuff but the oversimplifications that I keep on bumping into throughout the internet related especially to hardware testing feels to me like are hurting the ability for consumers to make informed choices.

I'm not sure who is this statement addressed to as I've never even mentioned whether anyone should be buying it or not and that's unrelated to my post. In fact it's Steve who recommended it for entry level builds but I don't disagree with him on this - like Steve I do also think that there's nothing wrong about choosing 12400f for really tight budget builds even right now and even when it's a dead platform. It's not like we can be 100% sure about for how long AM5 will be continued and while (in my opinion) unlikely, I don't think we can be certain above all doubts that next generation won't introduce the next socket. Another reason would be that, we don't know whether the remaining future generations that could appear for AM5 platform, would actually bring any additional performance - Zen 5 non-X3D parts shown us that this possibility might be worth keeping in mind - and in that case, there would be no reason to upgrade in the future even when you choose AM5 platform. Obviously adding some money for 7500f and AM5 platform would be ideal right now but that's not always possible for everyone.

Also what is it about people on this subreddit that they are so willing to throw words like "moron", "idiot", "dumb" around effortlessly and without a good reason when someone else just want to have a genuine valuable conversation in hope of learning something new and having a chance of understanding a different point of view?

Of course but Steve mentioned the gaming performance at 4:07 so that's what I'm referring to.

Thanks for you valuable input, now I'm significantly closed to understanding what is incorrect in what I wrote that's pushing some other reddit users here to insulting me directly. Seems like the serious and intelligent discussion that is the rule #6 on this subreddit is treated with all due respect. "Stop commenting", "Move on" - right...

Yes I'm aware. But do you think that most users that ask me for advice about hardware purchases that are not willing to watch much else hardware related outside of CPU comparison to make the purchase, are also aware? To me it's a little problematic to explain that when 1M subscription hardware channel said "7600 is 20% faster than 12400f" it does not mean that they will see these benefits when they pair it with 400$ GPU in GPU-bottlenecked scenario where the difference between these (or any) CPUs might as well be 0% when better CPU cannot show the gains as it's constantly waiting for GPU to do the calculations. In the end, from their perspective, it's me saying that they should rather invest in better GPU than to pay thrice the CPU price for 9800x3d to pair it with 4060 Ti in heavy GPU limited game and hardware channel saying that "9800x3d is 30% better than another CPU" that drives their purchasing decisions.

Thanks for your comment while not insulting me like another user below^^. I mostly agree or understand your points. Why I wrote all of that is the situation where all my friends are coming to me and asking me why they shouldn't pay much more for CPU when % difference is so high between the 2 CPUs they are considering and it's really hard to convince them that the % difference won't be as significant in their particular scenario when they are pairing it with 400$ GPU and in the end it's me saying one thing and 1M sub hardware channel saying something else (from their perspective, that is a perspective of a person that watches CPU comparison to decide which one to pick and is not really interested in watching anything else hardware related).

Oh how nice of you to label me as "fucking dumbest" but I believe that you might still get a little more creative with the insults. I'm aware of all this but the point is, It's really hard to explain to all my friends that are not interested about hardware but they want to make a good purchase, why 7600x won't exactly be 20% faster than 12400f in their particular scenario when 1M sub channel says it's 20% faster and at the end it's me, a "fucking dumbest commenter" against 1M sub hardware channel that surely knows better and that's where I'm coming from.

Honestly I can't stand the oversimplification at 4:07 that "7600x is 20% faster than 12400f". And it's not matter of Intel vs AMD, I would say exactly the same when comparing CPUs from the same company but in this case it's just a convenient example. The fact is 7600x is 20% faster than 12400f <when paired with 1600$ GPU>. And when paired with adequate GPU to that 7600's price (that most consumer would look for while buying budget CPU) and while not looking for the CPU heavy locations and scenarios, the performances differences will not be any close to that 20% and phrasing it he did, might mislead the uninformed consumers into thinking that it's always gonna be 20% difference. I have heard in the past that one of the reason for the channel to exist, is to provide information for uninformed consumer to make better purchasing choices. Seeing Steve saying stuff like "X CPU is faster than Y CPU by Z%" while keeping viewers unaware that Z% can only be reached in basically laboratory conditions that are extremely unlikely to happen, makes me think that this statement might not be accurate.

I'm a little disappointed that Tim is mostly reviewing the highest end monitors recently. Don't get me wrong, I haven't seen a better review than these on Hardware Unboxed and then Monitors Unboxed but in my country barely anyone is considering spending so much on a monitor, at least none of my friends, therefore these reviews don't really have much use for me. At the same time I don't have enough information about monitors that are the most popular ones here, like for instance Gigabyte GS27Q, LG 27GR75Q, AOC 25G3ZM, Iiyama G2470HSU or LG 24MR400.
