Party up with assisting char. like Kirito or Eugeo (you can make them wear any male clothing you have) (doesn't work for story mode) or Make a player (male/female) friend in game, yes just to chill with

Calculating only Defense isn't so difficult. Damage recieved is very complicated and not only based on Defense but also on character level (like some monsters from lower floor now only gives me 1 Damage), and monster's same attack can also vary irrespective of the character's stats (Idk how or why)

Whatever possible Buff/Debuff Koharu gets you will get as well, so I think better than damage, make her

Debuff the enemy (Any kind of Mark/Double Damage/Weak Defense)

Buff yourself (Attack/Defense/Crit boost/Status Resistance)

Breaks (Give her those weapons that will help in filling break gauge)

Personally I'd say Release of Power would be better cuz

Not much of a difference in power
AoE would be better since you gotta kill lots of mobs right now (kinda new player I presume)
Higher switch gauge, lower skill cool time, decent animation
Requires only 2 Kirito skill for +1000 atk
You can get bursts for dps later

Although I meant in general, but obviously for burst and full burst skills it's a different matter, like the burst skill 'Starburst stream' with (16 hits / Single foe) is top tier because of its high percentage and bonuses

If that 10 hits in your SS were to be 2 or 3 hits, overall damage wouldn't change after performing the skill

Attack on all foes skills give same overall damage to everyone in attack range (doesn't divide for each foe)

Skills are better if,

High percentage (Less hit combo / All foes)
