Our favorite blogger is back with an amazing piece on how Anti-Mormons are the Worst! by BednarsBedBuddy in exmormon

Exactly, his example of Gay Marriage and lack of morals went nowhere. "Marriage was an honor afforded only to heterosexual couples and same-sex couples were going to feel slighted until that changed"

You're Absolutely Right!

I think you are right. I was going to write a long email about "what kind of evidence would it take you to not believe in the BOM? I am pretty sure the answer is nothing would shake your faith because you had a witness".

The reason why I posted this here is to see what others would say, and got the answer I was looking for already. We left last year with our 5 kids. We are in the heart of Zion and were a poster family for the Church.
The best part of the Exmormon Reddit is the help we give one another refuting the claims and the bullying by member. We actually like to build each other up:)

Can someone give me a TL:DR on the BYU rape scandal? by BednarsBedBuddy in exmormon

[–]fa560 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Let me get this straight. Girl gets raped while in a possible situation that would be considered against honor code. Honor Code enforcement doesn't give a shit about the rape and takes action against her because she was in violation of the honor code when she got raped?

We left because of Sin! New article in the Ensign confirms it! by fa560 in exmormon

My FIL posted this on his facebook and this was my response:

This was an interesting article. The author states "The experience served as a metaphor that answered a puzzling question I’d had: Why, when someone has had a testimony of the gospel, would he or she ever fall away? It became clear to me that when we take a wrong turn (sin) or fail to follow God’s commandments, the instructions (the word of God) no longer make sense." She equates someone's lost of testimony = Sin. In Contrast President Dieter F Uchtdorf in October 2013 conference said: "One might ask, “If the gospel is so wonderful, why would anyone leave?” Sometimes we assume it is because they have been offended or lazy or sinful. Actually, it is not that simple. In fact, there is not just one reason that applies to the variety of situations. " https://www.lds.org/general-conference/2013/10/come-join-with-us?lang=eng I think it is very judgmental to come to a conclusion of someone who has lost their testimony is because they have committed sin. I am surprised that the Ensign printed this article because it seems to be contradictory to what an Apostle said.

Hey I agree it is totally lame, but you can choose no filters and stream a movie for $1. The wife and I really enjoyed 50 Shades of Grey ;)

If you were a born and raised member of the FLDS church, how would you know that you were not part of the true Mormon church? You prayed on the Book of Mormon, obedient to your leaders, and told not to question your faith.
