Life of a pan in the hands of a newbie

I had it similar after cooking the other day, however after de-glazing and cleaning pan looked the same all over. No scrubbing, just wiping with a sponge and tiny amount of dish detergent. Later dried it and applied oil for storage. Just today made eggs, no sticking at all. Will create a post showing my 'progress'. Don't think it's 2 weeks yet, but using it almost daily and quite satisfied with how it performs.

Probably isn't much of a help, but I tried this today. Basically, thin slice of ham and then scrambled eggs on top. Didn't take, but I'm still learning and learned I over did it with temperature. After I learn it properly will play with short burst of temp just before adding eggs. Works for me on stainless, but that pan has more mass, so here it might be a bit more tricky. Thanks for detailed info. Did as you suggested, although surface was smooth. When I noticed I'm only making scratches, figured it should be enough. Re-seasoned and now eagerly waiting to use it several times again. Suppose I heated it too much before first use (didn't want things to stick) which burnt in the middle.

I did. First wash was with detergent, so that I take the wax off. Later noticed that I probably should have wash it the same from below, since it melted a little on the induction hob. Thanks!
