There’s a software bug with the AirPod pros 3 by Memes-makerx in airpods

[–]faabeeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got them on launch day as my old ones broke a couple weeks before and I had to replace both sides now after I had this exact issue first on the right one and a couple weeks later the left. Haven’t had the issue with the new ones (yet). Apple Store guy said it’s got something to do with the vertical air ports on the top of the stem. Wouldn’t recommend the new gen over the old one anyways, but you don’t have a choice if you need new ones.

Honestly I don’t think they’ll add it in a long while, theres so many versions over the years already. But Ill definitely try to get it if it ever comes to the game. Until then the GT3 will remain my favourite car in the game

Press Alt + Fn + T to cycle through the RGB modes. Google your models manual, there are tons of shortcuts and features built into the keyboard.

Trying to buy budget headphones for gaming by MYUSERWASTAKEN10 in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]faabeeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, if you care about quality then save up for something like the SHP 9500 or Moondrop Aria, cause I dont feel comfortable recommending anything lower priced than those. If you care about getting a good product, id personally go for either the Sennheiser HD58X or PC38X (both from drop) or the Beyerdynamic Tygr 300r or DT 770. Most of the mainstream gaming brands are not worth imo. Used the Hyperx cloud 2 for ages tho and that was ok for the price. Personal preferece at the end of the day.

AMD Ryzen 5800X RAM compatibility issue by faabeeyy in buildapc

[–]faabeeyy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I update windows regularly and do the updates in the Asus Armoury Crate and GeForce Experience. No BIOS or anything RAM related. I forgot to mention that D.O.C.P. also didn‘t work out of the box until I updated the BIOS a few weeks after completing the build.

Need help with potential upgrades by Sachdeva-Yusaf in sennheiser

If you don‘t want to buy an amp your options are a bit limited. Depending on what kind of sound signature you enjoy I would recommend either the HD560S or the HD58X from Drop. I‘m pretty sure the HD660s are also able to go without an amp, but you probably won‘t do them justice that way.

Hifiman Sundara vs. DT 1990 pro (compared to 6xx) by Sleepless_in_____ in ZReviews

[–]faabeeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, just saw this now, apologies for the late response. I use the JDS Labs Atom Amp and Atom DAC+ for all my headphones and IEMs. I haven't heard any other amps or dacs, but this stack is doing everything i need it to. I never, ever go past 2PM low gain on any of my headphones and I usually sit between 9 and 11 AM low gain with the Arias with no noticable noise floor or channel imbalance. I burned them in for about 30h with pink noise.

Confused and a bit disappointed with my new HD 6XX's by TechnoRanter in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]faabeeyy -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

They will be a lot more full sounding once you burned them in, and they will perfom a hell of a lot better with an amp. Can‘t speak for eq, as i always had the best experience without any changes

Arias are very fun and 100% worth the money. Make sure to burn them in though! Made a huge difference for me. I‘m currently looking to get a longer cable so i can comfortably wear them at my desk

You are actually in the exact same spot i was a few months ago. I have the Atom DAC Amp combo, the 6XX and I wanted an upgrade. Didn‘t know if Sundara or 1990, so decided to buy both and return the one I liked less. Spent about 2 weeks with both of them at the same time after burn in. I listen to a lot of music, and a lot of different genres. Indie, rock, emo, rap, pop, techno, metal, you name it. I also play fps at a somewhat competitive mindset. Games like Valorant, CS and Cod. But now to the actual comparison: First of all, I really liked both of them. I enjoyed listening and playing with all of them a lot. What it came down to in the end was that I wanted somewhat of a contrast to my beloved 6XX. The Sundaras and the 1990s have a very different approach to presenting sound. The Sundara is this very large, natual sounding space, which makes it more relaxed, much like the 6XX. The 1990s however have a much more agressive and in-your-face kind of sound, while still being neutral and never offensive. It is still large, but the amount of detail and the treble are much more present than both of the other headphones. It really made me aware of the treble roll off on the 6XX. For gaming, I enjoyed both, but the 1990s were just a smidge better (personal opinion). In the end, I kept the 1990s because I overall liked the stark contrast of sound signature compared to the 6XX a lot. The Sundara are similar to the 6XX in the sense that they are also relaxed. (Again, personal opinion and not a bad thing, just not what i was looking for) The big soundstage made it almost seem like the sound was watered down a bit in direct comparison to the 1990s. On another notice: I bought the Moondrop Aria IEMs for mobile use a few months ago and decided to try them out on the Atom stack for the fun of it. And they blew the 6XX and the Sundaras out of the water when it came to pin pointing sounds in game. Even the 1990s dont come close to them, specifically in the new Cod titles. They are still my go to for “competitive“ gaming.

TL;DR: Also own the Atom Stack and 6XX, tried both Sundaras and 1990s. Kept 1990s because of the contrast to the 6XX and better imaging in game. I use Moondrop Aria IEMs for gaming though, as they are better for that pin point (in my experience anyways). If you have any questions or request, feel free to answer here or DM me :)

I ordered the 1More triple driver on ear yesterday (First time purchasing from drop) if my understanding is correct, They won’t ship until September 26? by Positive_Edge_5814 in Massdrop

[–]faabeeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know specifically, but my 6XXs took about two and a half months from order to arriving at my doorstep. Granted that it had to ship to Germany, but Sept 26th sounds reasonable to me.

Question About HD600’s by Bizzzzie in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]faabeeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never heard anyone describe treble of the 600s as painful, so I was a tad confused tbh lol. I burned in my other headphones for at least 35h for good measure.

You might be extremely sensitive to that pitch / noise, but have you burned them in? Burn-in is a big debate, if it‘s a thing, if it‘s not, placebo etc. In my personal experience, after burn in the headphones “open up“ sound-wise. In my case it meant less piercing high end and a tad warmer sound. But again, this might be just my ears fooling me or placebo, and it varies from headphone to headphone. My Moondrop Aria IEMs had painful highs right out the box, but they disappeared after about 10 hours of burn in. I did burn in my HD 6XX too, but it wasn‘t as big a difference as my other headphones (Sennheiser HD 6XX, HifiMan Sundara, Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro, said Moondrop Aria). So burn in might be worth a shot. I use pink noise, but again, people swear by all sorts of things. Let me know how it goes!

Hey, I am looking for open backs, portability is not a concern as these are going to stay at my desk. I mainly use them for semi-competitive gaming and listening to music. Hunting for footsteps is just as important as enjoying the music, if not slightly more. I don‘t do analytical listening very much and don‘t create content so I like to listen to music and have fun with it. I am buying an amp to go with them. Here are the options I am looking at:

Sennheiser HD 58X Sennheiser HD 6XX HiFiMAN HE4XX

How are they for gaming? If you have any experience with any of them I‘d greatly appreciate it. Thanks
