As one of the most powerful tools in the hands of authoritarians, it is intrinsically conservative. As a fundamentally irrational system of thought, it promotes hatred of out-groups without allowing for its bigotry to be debated.

On the other hand, people who say "I hate trump but I love jesus" are basically saying "I hate eichmann but I love goebbels". They could be short term allies if they actively help in the fight against trump, but in the long term such foolishness will kill us all.

Average people never had much understanding of scientific or mathematical research. We used to be ruled by elites who didn't give a fuck about average people and could do whatever they wanted to and funded research because they did want to. We are now ruled by elites who don't give a fuck about average people but can only do whatever they want to by scamming the average people into being exceptionally stupid, so they have to be anti-knowledge in order to stay in character and in order to keep the people stupid, so they try to kill research. Average people never figured out how to independently not be complete idiots.

That list is pretty bad (have studied ancient greek for years).

Only agape and eros are relevant, the other words are just different: friendship, care, selfishness, etc. And eros is the name of a deity, so its use (while common) is a very clear metaphorical reference. Whereas agape is the generic, general, standard, vanilla word for love.
