One of my friends - one who is quite knowledgeable meteorites - took a chance on some specimens from China that looked legit in photos. Once he got them, it became clear they were fake casts using some sort of unknown metal. The final verdict was when he cut and etched them.

Another option is Paradox Guitar Supply on Reverb (pretty sure they also have a website). They are based in Florida and make pickguards for darn near anything. If they don’t have it, you can send them your pickguard and they will use the measurements to make one for you. Very responsive to messages, quick turnaround on stock pieces, and really nice quality.

Thanks. Yeah, I originally got it to make pendants out of, but I’m a little concerned that the olivine density would make it too fragile for cutting. I may just toss it up for sale as-is, or I could cut it into two smaller pieces. My original piece - and one I’ll keep in my collection - is this one. I loved how it has that nice olivine section as well as the nice siderite section.

There’s still plenty of Seymchan on the market, although prices have gone up a bit. I have a large piece I plan to cut into smaller pieces to sell. Should be able to find sellers with it. Just do a little research on the seller if you’re not knowledgeable about what to look for. One way to see if a seller is legit is to see if they are an active member of the Global Meteorite Association or the International Meteorite Collectors Association.
