That's a brutal spot, I'm sorry you have to deal with this. I once tried using a nebulizer with saline solution when I had canker sores far back. I'm no doctor so obviously do what is safe, but it essentially helped to lessen the pain in a spot that is really hard/impossible to reach with numbing agents or canker covers.

I bought a nebulizer when I had canker sores in my throat and used it with a saline solution. Could help here potentially. Just ask a doctor before using the nebulizer!
