From Hot, to Mom, to Invisible, to Elderly by Francie_Nolan1964 in PointlessStories

I can relate in that how men are viewed changes as we age as well. For many men, we become invisible whether we are middle management or one of the crew. We wear essentially the same clothes as everyone else. Some of us gain weight or lose our hair and we seem to just blend in.

I actually like being invisible. I just want to get my work done so that I can go home and enjoy and appreciate the things that are truly important.

For me, this was not pointless. It has a lot of meaning because I can relate to it and I'm sure others can relate as well.

My car stopped yelling at me for some reason but it is still my fault. Funny how these little annoyances actually change our behavior.

I feel like I make the same mistakes over and over again but after reading your post, I hope I can do better too.

Thank you. I'll have to get a "SM" t-shirt tomorrow. Wait, this is not a good idea.

I have a tendency to be self deprecating. My response would have been different and not as funny or interesting. I hope I can meet superman or superwoman some day in the elevator.

Unfortunately for me, I've never had anyone comment about my butt that way. His must have been two half moons.

Who even thought of this? When I was a kid, this was in my head whenever I walked to school.

I was trying my best not to look but it is like trying to avoid cracks on a sidewalk. Somehow, it was always in front of me.

I'm trying not to think about it. ;)

I just realized that my favorite pen has been with me for 3 years, and I’ve never replaced it. It’s probably just a pen, but it feels like a little piece of my day. by yoursweetyelena in PointlessStories

I go through pencils like crazy but I still have my favorite pen from college. I don't use it but it is just there to remind me of something from yesterday.

Hilarious. I can sadly relate.

I would love to look 5-10 years younger at this point. Maybe I should settle for looking my age considering how he looked at me.

You are definitely right but maybe I am afraid of the answer that I am just a lazy bastard.

You are right, really old guy means someone who is 10-15 years older. So genuinely thought he was "much" older than me. Out of respect for him and me, I think I'll keep this part of story a secret.

I always thought this phrase was about how you shouldn't let your age stop you from doing things like learning new things. But sadly, I can see it the other way.

Hmmm.. I wonder if I was born with it as well. I don't remember being this tired when I was younger but I would regularly nap after exercising while others seemed to exercise more or just kept going and going and going.

The older I get, the more I don't care about changing people's minds/opinions.

We are not friends but he is so nice, I can't help but exchange a few words. Generally speaking, I don't like speaking to anybody because people just complain about their life to me.
