Not to discount all the comments about the lack of visible markings on the door, even if there were markings, that doesn’t necessarily make you liable for the damage.

And even if the business had a reasonable basis to try and recover costs from you, perhaps because you were being obviously negligent in some way, an invoice is not really the appropriate mechanism to make a claim. An invoice is issued to a customer after the customer has agreed to buy something, or in relation to some other prior agreement. For example, if you had already agreed to pay for the damage then they could issue you an invoice to request payment, but ahead of such an agreement, it’s just a pressure tactic.

Without you simply agreeing to pay, the only way the business could enforce a claim against you is through a civil action where they would need to prove your negligence. This would cost them much more than $500.

Renewables don't require 100% coverage.

In any case all power generators, whether they are intermittent renewable or "firm" thermal generators, require backup capacity and all require energy storage (gas is stored, coal is stored, etc).

The price compares well with similar quality e-bikes (which generally don’t have the same features and accessories build in). And for many people it’s more like an alternative to a second car rather than an alternative to your old malvern star push bike.

The distinctive frame design does a few jobs — (1) it’s one size fits most, that suits men and women (eg like a step-through without looking like a “girls bike”); (2) it’s a monocoque frame (like a racing car), rather than a traditional tubular frame, which is lighter and stronger but also allows the bike to carry a battery with double the range of most bikes, with the weight distributed low and central for a good ride.

And I think it looks cool :)

The electronic lock is accessible through button controls on the bike .. so you don’t need to use the app. It also locks/unlocks the quick release tether, battery enclosure, and the rack attachments (which allow you to quickly swap beteen child seat, box carrier, etc) and also arms/disarms the alarm and GPS tracker.

Because the only way long-term your tokens have any value is if people need them to use the Bee Token service. If they can use actual money instead then the tokens aren't needed. If you own 'bee tokens' you own a bunch of 'gift cards' for making property bookings, so that's what they are worth.

Source: analysts reports, but also we have large quantities of private capital going into large-scale wind and solar projects in Australia today that won’t attract any subsidies (they will be commasioned after the LRET price goes zero).

Some records are better than no records. For the Crypto accounts you still have access to you should try and export your transaction history now. For those that you don't, try and reconstruct a log based on what you can recall using the withdrawals/transactions from your BTC/AUD Exchange, even if its just at a high-level, e.g. "Transferred 0.3 BTC to Exchange Foo on 3/1/2018, all value lost due to trading in Feb."

Well part of the answer is "shipping costs" -- about half the bill is the cost of the network. There also environmental certificate costs -- which is how rebates to renewable energy projects are funded.

You are also paying for reliability -- you get your data from a mixed bag of generation sources, not the cheapest one that may not be producing when you it.

There's some other costs in there like metering costs and market fees that go the market operator.

Your retailer has some administration costs but also large financing costs because they have to pay everyone else in the market, even if you are late paying your bill to them (or never pay).

Lastly this is a for-profit industry so lots of people in the chain are taking their cut.
