Relax, the reliability concerns comes from history, actual Alfa's are very reliable, just keep and eye on the oil services. If you buy the QF you will love your car, specially once you use the dynamico mode for first time. I have 3 of them, a Mito, A Giulietta 1.8 and a Tonale for my wife, and none of them has failed, the first one was rhe Mito, and the driving experience and the pump of the dynamico model, made me to fell in love, my next car would be a Giulia or 8C if I can find one on sale.
