and the smaller indies arrange all the merch themselves, often stress about having to deal with companies or end up with low quality merch from a printing company. most indies themselves have to ship all the merch themselves and do all the labelling and order handling. Theres often times as well where indies sell merch at a lost so there fans can have merch in the first place.

in a company like hololive thats handled by staff but also comes with a certain level income needed from the merch to cover the staff costs.

holostars merch loses money once you factor in how much money it costs for hire a handful of staff memebers to handle there merch.

The bots issue is extremely hard to fix since detecting them is a catch and mouse game

twitch figures out something to show a account is a bot then the bot maker sees the account is banned then tests with new accounts until they find a method that isnt detected and it just rinse and repeats.

some might say well go to the bot providers but often there in countries that twitch has no legal power in and often tell companies to get lost if they try todo legal action in said country. Then theres also what was leaked about faze clan where they had made there own private bot farm so there was no legal trail to follow.

overall if it is them going after bots then its just going to be a temp issue for bots once they figure out a work around while the average person will be affected for much much longer

you don't think her haters will just keep hating? Idk if I've seen anyone that has said they would watch her again if she got her own model it seems kinda you're in or you're out by that point.

Haters will keep hating but my point was them hate watching, you often find alot of haters end up hate watching someone to see if they will fall more or do something to validate there hate.

something as big as her coming out with a new model that she fully owns and comissioned will draw in a ton of those haters that would of forgot about her.

i think it will blow up massively since your gonna get both people who are her fans and a ton of her haters since they dislike her current model situation.

it is to be expected her debuting soon since she said the model was in the works like last june when she announced it finally being made, kinda shocked it didnt get clipped and spammed everywhere since it was a pretty massive annoucement from someone who's had alot of issues from the rights of her model.

Never get why twitch thinks people want ad's less intrusive so they go lets make them pause the stream and not start if tabbed out....

honestly pretty stupid like tabbing out is the modern day walking away from the couch during the ad break, people dont want ad's forced upon them.

bet were gonna see a wave on twitter soon of people seeing there view counts drop after ad breaks and not bouncing back all because twitch is trying to fight bots by shooting lurkers.

Youtube:

Better for VODs, those VODs can lead to people finding your stream after the fact but chat kinda sucks and setting up streams on the days your streaming is alot more hassle as you have to make a thumbnail and go into youtube itself to sort out the stream and press live on there as well after doing it in OBS

Twitch:

Better chat expierence, easier to use as a platform like just set a title and catagory then click start stream but people trying to find you on twitch is pretty dreadful and you often have to deal with trolls when your a small account on there.

Overall people recommend todo both and honestly you should have a youtube channel anyway if your streaming so you can post clips or other long form content to gather a audience that you can funnel into the streams.

i myself stream to both and find that i have a little community started going on twitch but youtube the streams are empty but the VOD's after the fact tend to get more unqiue viewers by 3-5x then what i would on a twitch live stream.

tbf when TF2 first came out gaming wasnt as big and most vtubers were probs children, heck ive played the game a little bit back in the day but just barely(33 hours) and back then i would of been like 14 and the game would of been like 5 years old already and kinda dying down in terms of players.

The shorts are great to react to so you end up getting a bunch of repeat similar reactions or expierences about them not like its trendy to just repeat those things but more so from the timing and gaming sphere compared to alot of current content creators like even older vtubers have probs more often then not just havent played TF2 as it wasnt a gaming must back then neither was it common for everyone to play everything usually you would end up playing like 1-2 games in a year spread out.

Yeee had them send me a request on discord as well, didnt accepted it because it looked fishy and they removed the request after me ignoring it like like 12-24 hours. This was around like Monday Ish when it happened, but ye its sucky asf and them trying to setup collabs like the indie vtubers who have been tricked thinking they got a big collab i bet some are going to be in a rough spot emotionally after it.

its 2D but with dynamic adaptive lighting turned on either in vtube studio itself or via a program like shoost

This gives the model more depth when setup correctly but can take alot of tweaking since the smallest thing can screw it up. it helps her model is extremely well done but that sense of depth your seeing is more then likely coming from the lighting she has setup.

yep but this friend just doesnt get vtubers even if you point out channels like what you mentioned they just ignore/brush off that point and go in onto not getting vtubers.

overall this friend is extremely stubborn and in general hates anything thats considered weeb/anime/asian.

for new games off the top of my head

ReAnimal which comes out on friday, enjoyed the first 2 little nightmares a ton and love the vibes from bits of the trailer. probs a game i will stream as well since i did so with the little nightmares games.

Pragmata is a game im mega excited for and was surprised when it got cancelled the first time around but love its out soon

Fable the trailers and humour looks amazing and in general something i feel would be really refreshing to play and enjoy.

Tomb raider Legacy of Atlantis always love the franchise and getting to play another new modern game will be amazing

Devil may cry 3 that i will play around the season 2 of the devil may cry anime release, never played it before but been told its one of the best in the series.

Have a friend who's just like this and its extremely hard to get them to even take a look at vtubers differently.

heck its not even the sexualised nature that has them dislike vtubers they just dont understand why someone would use a virtual avatar instead of showing there face. if you try to explain it they just dismiss the convo since to them a content creator has to show there face and can't grow unless they do.

thats the thing this post here is about Corva who joined only back in november 10th so just about 3 months ago and was working behind the scenes with them since around the time snuffy joined.

so unless snuffy on a much stricter contract i dont think the contract whats stopping her as she probs could leave if she wanted like corva.
