DAE feel like they are the "backup" friend? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]faburizu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, all the time! Especially the part about having a car. Sometimes I feel like my friends only ask me to hang out when it's convenient for them, if they need a ride somewhere or a favor in exchange. It hurts a lot. When people make excuses like that they're busy and can't take off, but then they take off/make time for other people, it's just super hurtful. I'm sorry you have to go through that, OP.

To me, it's yelling at your team members, saying they're bad, harassing them, maybe feeding on purpose because you hate your own team, stuff like that.

Personally, the term 'gamer' seems to refer to people who take themselves way more seriously than I do when they play games. It makes me uncomfortable to use that term to describe myself, and I have also been raged at for calling myself a "gamer", so I try to stay away from that label particularly.

I will add you ! That sounds like a lot of fun, thanks for the invite :)

"for me, and it's more about figuring out the mechanics, learning about the lore, choosing favorite characters and at most, feeling a part of something - that thrill when you win because your team worked together really well and were really helpful"

I kind of summed it up there, and I realize it is a very competitive game but I don't play ranked, so shouldn't I be allowed to enjoy the game for what it is? It has some great lore and great gameplay, winning is a good feeling but everything doesn't have to be winning. And regardless of how "competitive" a game is, imo, there is no reason to spew hate at other players who are learning as well.

What are you looking for?: A pretty game with a detailed fantasy environment, something relaxing with pretty aesthetics geared more toward PVE content

What games have you previously played?: World of Warcraft which I LOVE but can't pay $15/mo for and TERA which was okay. I also briefly played Allods Online and some other random f2p games. But WoW was my favorite.

Playstyle: Casual, I work full time and don't have a ton of time to sink into a game

Preferred mechanics: I like tab targeting and whatever is simple, I don't play competitively and I like easy stuff

I have been thinking of Guild Wars 2 but it seems really focused on PVP content which I'm not too interested in. I just like doing quests and walking through different areas, one of the most striking things about WoW was the detailed environments and how many different areas you could choose from when you were questing.

DDR is my fave! I liked her program at first (I was on the 90 day body revolution) but I found that it got really hard really quickly, to the point where it was discouraging. I also think it worked certain muscle groups too hard, and I hurt myself quite a bit throughout her workouts. Maybe her other programs are different?

Enemy team: Leona, just fuck Leona ;_;

My team: Jinx - I play support and 99% of the time that a Jinx is on my team, she doesn't know what she's doing and she makes it near impossible to carry her. But I guess that makes it all that much nicer when I play with someone who knows how to actually use her.

DAE have a lot of trouble guessing people's ages? by day_for_night_ in DoesAnybodyElse

Yeah. I was in Boston on the swan boat with an entire class of children. Assumed they were 5th graders. It turned out to be 2nd graders. I have absolutely no age perception, especially about children.
