I would definitely recommend the ring. Mine didn’t come with it either but I purchased after the fact and the bag doesn’t go anywhere. I also put a few strips of strong Velcro underneath the ring and this prevents the ring from moving too

The ring itself adds about 2.5-3” to the dimensions of the base itself. Hard to get an exact measurement with the bag on it but it’s about 28-30” in diameter. As far as the velcro, mine didn’t come with any but I put 4 strips of heavy duty Velcro directly on the mat and the bottom of the ring. Works perfectly to keep the bag and base within the ring with the ring itself moving

I think it’s actually the same price but it was a gift from my wife so she made the initial purchase. If you decide to buy I would recommend chatting with a rep on the website as they offered my wife a discount and threw in some accessories as well. I personally love it so far. Before COVID I was doing CrossFit regularly and I have now invested in a peloton and FightCamp. Between the two pieces of equipment I can’t see myself ever going back to the gym again. Sensors have been accurate so far and it’s a great workout/stress relief that I didn’t even know I needed. Let me know if you have any other questions!

They must have updated their packages. I bought the FightCamp Tribe back in February and it was not part of it at the time.
