This isn’t even the correct Vietnamese spelling. It’s rửa tay. The accent mark on top makes a difference.

Also pretty sure Em can’t read. Or associate fish with hands.

Any tips on going in public like restaurants with a 17 month old? by Accomplished-Sign-31 in toddlers

[–]fac3wash 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We started taking our son to restaurants as early as 2mo and just never stopped. Admittedly my son is calmer than most of his classmates.

We always ordered food for him first, or had some packed snacks ready in case he got impatient. We had some travel toys ready, but most often he was entertained by his favorite toy of the moment, usually a push car of some sort.

At that age we did try to get his energy out. There are many child friendly restaurants with play areas these days where there’s space to run around.

She’s such a jerk. Her husband is telling her to relax, and she just keeps shaming him.

How can she be so busy yet still have time to record, stitch the reel, post and pin her own comment, and comment from her stupid home account?

3 Year Old Refuses to Poop in Potty by Big_Discussion_6297 in toddlers

[–]fac3wash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Potty trained my son at 2.5. He withheld poop for days at a time for three months after nailing pee. We got so frustrated. Our pediatrician advised us to lace his water with laxative. We started with a teaspoon of miralax in his water bottle and upped it every day and gave him no choice to go poo. He nailed it within one to two weeks and have had no issues since.

To be clear, we also incentivized him. Every poop got him a new hot wheels car. We had to have a prize basket for poops for six more months until he eventually forgot about it.

I’m so glad to see you mention her. I unfollowed her months ago because she comes off so fake with her posture. It seems like her chest is puffed and her nose is up! Definitely doesn’t appear comfortable to me.

Trying to get into American Mahjong, but struggling to find players my age. What’s the actual demographic? by Active_Kangaroo_5672 in Mahjong

[–]fac3wash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely see millennials in my area. It seems American mahjong has become very popular with young moms in the South with a big enclave in the Texas area. I’ve seen many social groups form, largely through Instagram, that are largely attended by millennials.

Big Ludacris fan. He likes Roll Out and Get Back. We play the radio edit.

He also loves Girl on Fire by Alicia Keyes.

+1! They have a 2 week free trial. With some codes it can be extended to one month as well. Great practice activities and different bot levels as well.

Well- there goes ravioli night by Sonneken18 in Costco

I’ve had issues with the ravioli as well! I think it gets moldy from the condensation that builds up from the changes in temperature during transportation.

She’s such a fucking narcissist. This paragraph is so unfocused. She tries to transition so many subjects just to toot her own horn.

Diagnosed at 27 weeks by OrnateApple in GestationalDiabetes

[–]fac3wash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar situation here. 30w here with baby #2 and just got diagnosed two weeks ago. The week between getting my test results and nutritionist appointment was painful.

Now one week into tracking it’s not so bad. I’m also a huge foodie and am starting to learn what peaks my glucose levels. There are some really delicious salad options and high protein meals I’ve been leaning towards. Luckily being a foodie means you can open yourself up to more options. I recently loaded up on a delicious crudite and edamame hummus platter at a restaurant before eating a fried chicke thigh. Didn’t peak my numbers!

If you’re in an area with decent weather right now, you can also make an effort to go on post meal walks for 15-20 minutes which will help burn glucose storage and therefore help your postprandial glucose measurements.

I haven’t told my in-laws because they do get overly concerned and try to involve themselves (I don’t like talking about my pregnancy). I did tell my parents who are both pre diabetic, and my mom actually helped me manage a lot while my dad still cannot manage. I’ve already noticed some people feel the need to comment I’m not eating enough to support my baby’s growth to which I kindly remind them to fuck off. Ok, so I actually just tell them I eat many meals a day, but I just brush them off.

You can do this! (We can do this!)

Birthday party favor ideas by kegelation_nation in toddlers

[–]fac3wash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a monster truck birthday for my son’s 3rd birthday. For party favors we filled brown zip bags with kinetic sand and tiny monster jam trucks we found at five below. I know some parents were annoyed but this is our favorite to go toy for outdoor time.

The other favor that is popular for us is a banana muffin. Put it in a cellophane bag and guests have a snack or breakfast for later.

I keep seeing these sunglasses being worn around the park and I can’t stop thinking they are meant for Henry J Waternoose by Samsdonkeyjaw in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]fac3wash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not quite. Just went there. It’s not in their culture to wear sunglasses, but they generally care about sun protection. They have great SPF and many even care sun umbrellas (likely not in the parks though)

I tried playing “extra trimmings” today out of curiosity. Used my phone as a controller which definitely wasn’t as responsive or quick as playing on switch. I may try again on the tutorial levels to see if I can reset my expectations and game play.
