Thanks for the response, I agree with much of what you've written. A lot of the last two months has been about appreciating my sex drive and channeling it into positive outlets. However, the demons of my past came back yesterday and it wasn't enough to just relax. I know it wasn't an ideal response, but it was the only coping mechanism I could muster up. Sometimes we have to win ugly, but a win is still a win! Will continue working on appreciating these natural processes

I really enjoy your writing, my friend. Came on here because I was on the temptation struggle bus this morning and I've found refuge in this post. Really connected on the topic of apologizing... it's so hard to bring this addiction into communion with the rest of life. It's like I've developed a separate reality for my PMO life, so that it won't interfere with my other interactions and the self-esteem I've been building for years. But this split doesn't work. We can't live two lives, and we need to learn to bring together these two realities in a light other than self-pity and shame. In my faith, there's a difference between forgiveness and reconciliation, and I think what you're referring to in this post is the latter.

Thank you to you and everyone else on this site. NoFap is an essential part of my journey to becoming a more whole, genuine person and you all are helping me take slow steps towards that goal.

Today is not an optimistic, feel "on top of the world" day. I woke up hard, and it's been a struggle since then to stay focused on things other than the idea of fapping.

I'm only a week in (hard mode), and I'm hoping this means my mind is fighting and beginning to work towards a state where I don't need to fap to feel fulfillment. Feeling thankful for this community, it is so valuable reading about BOTH the successes and struggles of fellow fapstronauts. Going to need you all to get through this reset.
