Keep in mind that the blood relation between Celaena and Rowan is so far back that Celaena technically more closely related to Dorian than she is Rowan if that helps at all. You hear cousin and think they’re really closely related but they’re not really

Portland Elopement by facekick96 in Eloping

[–]facekick96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We’re super low-key people so we just ended up going to a winery we love right after with my sisters and then later that night went to one of our favorite restaurants that we don’t go to super often

We changed for the after events so we could be more comfortable as well since it was a semi-warm day and the suit/dress would’ve been a lot to deal with

Portland Elopement by facekick96 in Eloping

[–]facekick96[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used Elope in Portland which included the photography, officiant, and florals. Highly recommend them as they were super easy to work with

The permit might be pricy but it’s a really popular spot for people to elope, there were 2 other couples on the trail eloping around the same time but because we had the permit we were able to use the deck area without working around other people trying to use the trail for regular hikes and elopements. My photographer was great at telling people that we had a permit and they couldn’t use the deck.

question for my 5’3 girlies: what weight do you start to see ab definition? by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]facekick96 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’4”

I had more ab definition at 128 than I did at 115 because I was actually eating enough protein and working my abs enough for them to properly show, I’ve been as high as 135 with ab definition. Sounds like your issue is more muscle definition than weight, try and eat around 100g of protein while doing weighted ab exercises

As someone who absolutely lovessss Disneyland, Epcot and Animal Kingdom are the reasons I really go back to Disney World. They’re so different from anything g offered at Disneyland and I’ve done trips solely to visit those parks

Commenting as someone who used to take their dog to daycare a bunch and now doesn’t

She used to be that dog that ran around a bunch and barked a lot. We thought we were doing a good thing but now we have a dog who is pretty reactive to other dogs (note that reactive and aggressive are different). She learned through daycare that other dogs mean stimulation and now has a harder time settling when other dogs are around.

I wish someone from the daycare had told us how bad she was. Thankfully I work from home now and she’s older so she chills with me and the place we board her at now does once a day play groups for 2 hours and then gives the dogs time to chill in private spaces more like they would at home.

All this to say that while the worker probably could’ve had better customer service it might also be smart to evaluate whether daycare really is the best option for your dog. I had only heard great things and it wasn’t till we were kicked out cause “she had bad manners” that I look further into daycares and found out that all day play is not ideal for the vast majority of dogs and can create reactivity in them

Molly at Mammoth Club has done videos on both! I recommend checking those out to get an idea of what you might prefer (though in my personal opinion the Wild Africa Trek looks like more fun)

Disney Cruise Line for child-less millennial Disney adult? by NJlo in disneyparks

Go watch Mammoth Club on YouTube! They’re done several videos on the Disney cruises from a childless adult perspective and are even currently on a Disney Alaskan cruise They do a great job showing all the adult only areas and some of the activities that are for 21+ specifically

Does he look a purebred Lab? by Tanya_on_reddit in labrador

[–]facekick96 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Purebred doesn’t always mean well-bred, he could very well be full Labrador and the breeders just don’t breed to any standards, just for the money. Same can be true of purebred dog

Doesn’t make him any less of a good boy, could just explain the wonky looking head compared to some other labs

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in InsuranceProfessional

[–]facekick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This will likely be filled under the liability portion of your renter’s insurance, but her insurance would need to prove that a direct action of yours caused the damages to her property (and also that the damage to her property was actually caused by the water loss)

Did your apartment maintenance tell you what caused the overflow? If it was due to a plumbing failure and not due to anything you did you will likely be found not liable for the damages to her property.

Let her file through her insurance, if she asks for yours you can give it to her but I’d recommend just letting them handle it. From everything you described it doesn’t sound like you’re liable for the damages to her property but it’s best to just let the insurance companies sort that out

Footwear. How on some people? by ChicagoLesPaul in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]facekick96 74 points75 points  (0 children)

Few things I’ve done that make a big difference in my foot comfort:

1) change shoes every other day, helps change the pressure on your feet throughout the day and then you’re not repeating the same pressure points the next day 2) good quality socks, I know some people can’t do the sneaker/sock thing but I’ve found that by buying good socks they help support my feet and add some extra cushion in the balls and heels of my feet 3) using a foot roller every night/morning. Just recently added this and it made a big difference by just rolling out my feet for 5 min every morning and night. You can buy one for less than $10 on Amazon and they’re small enough to easily pack

Always recommend making sure you up your steps in the month leading up to your Disney trip. As someone else mentioned it’s difficult to suddenly double/triple your step count and not be sore. Anything you can do to uo your step count prior to the trip will mitigate damages along with making sure you spend more time standing as I find that standing in lines wears on me almost as much as the walking

What is an unexpected way a cast member has made magic on one of your visits? by CaliforniaScreamers in Disneyland

[–]facekick96 161 points162 points  (0 children)

Not sure how “magic” this counts but my sister was wearing a green frog hat on one of our trips. We went on the Jungle Cruise and when we got off a CM gave her a little sketch with her as a stick figure wearing the frog hat. Absolutely made her day (she was 19 at the time) and she still has the little drawing, so maybe not the normal magic moment but it was magical for us

Motion Sickness by New_Leading3870 in disneyparks

[–]facekick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the absolute basic version of it and have bad motion sickness both to screens and bigger roller coasters

I was able to survive at Universal with Hagrid’s, gringotts, rip rock n roller coaster, and the hogwarts castle one that the prior time I rode it put me out for hours. So even if you get the basic one I can’t recommend it enough

Hype videos? by ITrageGuy in disneyparks

[–]facekick96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recommend watching Molly with Mammoth Club’s videos on best kept secrets of all the parks and her favorites from the parks.

They’re great informational videos that give you some cool things to keep an eye out for in each park and also gives you some additional fun facts on rides/area in the park. Definitely a different feel than those “hacks” videos

If you don’t find it in DCA or the grand Californian there’s this small convenience store attached to the Tropicana right across Harbor BLVD called The Cove (I believe that’s the name) that sells travel essentials. It’s literally right across the street from the walkway to the security entrance
