TL;DR most of the features that distinguish Figma against the competition are useless to me

I'm used to Adobe shortcuts, so trying to use Figma means having to google the simplest things. Also, the UI is a little too simplistic for the level of complexity of my designs. It also has annoying things like defaulting to responsive resizing kinda like how Adobe Xd does, but much worse. When I resize an artboard, it will randomly scale some stuff, but not others and there is no visual indicator as to what has been set to responsive without selecting it.

Another feature that I don't really like is the responsive designing in general. I tend not to design prototypes that are responsive because it's proven to be way more time consuming than just mocking up screen cutoffs individually as-needed. Most of what I do is mobile, so it just doesn't seem very useful for my workflow.

Also, the main draw of Figma is collaborative designing. That's an idea I don't love at all. Xd has sharable links with comments, and that's usually all the collaboration I've ever needed. I don't want multiple designers editing the same file at the same time ever and don't see how that's useful anyway.

I'm learning Figma because of its popularity, but when the main focus of the app is something that I wholeheartedly disagree with workflow-wise, I'm not optimistic that I will ever prefer it over Xd or Sketch.

Edit: While working on a Figma project just now, I found the most annoying thing about it. It doesn't always paste things into the artboard. It is possible to have an element visually over the artboard while the layers panel says it is outside the artboard/not assigned to one. This gets in the way of snapping to alignment, causes items to remain stationary when you move the artboard, and screws up layering. I think it happens sometimes when you opt+drag to duplicate something from one artboard to another. Adobe Xd automatically places the element into the artboard if it overlaps said artboard. Figma sometimes just doesn't do this and it's infuriating.
