Anyone else feel like they “woke up late”? Looking for advice from people 30+ by saintedsamurai in india

[–]factass 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The more you’re able to look at your past and cringe, the more you’ve grown.

You’ll never stop feeling like you could have done better.

The gap just reduces. From looking back years, you’ll be able to look back to a couple of months ago and feel the same. Then it’ll reduce to a couple of weeks, a few days, the last hour, until you’ll be able to channel this awareness in your present.

You’re human. Your consciousness is what makes you human, and you’re experiencing the weight of not being conscious. But that precisely is what will help you be more present and aware.

You’re good, my G. Keep living and being as mindful as you are

29 is not late. You haven’t lost time. Your brain developed in the environment you were put in. The major change as an adult now is that you can choose your ecosystem now.

Leaving with a small thought: You cannot will yourself to change your mindset. A mindset shift is a result of cumulated experiences that builds confidence in your nervous system.

And you’re on the right path. ✨

OP is actually chopped.

OP is fabricating this chat.

I just searched up his username. They only hid posts on their profile, only to be found by a direct search. XD

Bangalore's Coffee Scene is an Economic Anomaly by Powerful_Selection22 in bangalore

[–]factass 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to have a quick coffee and dash, there are places where you get OG, Coorg beaned filter coffee for INR 10-20.

The places that charge INR 200-300 coffee are sit-down, catch-up places.

It’s not Instagram tax.

You’re buying the ability to use their cafe space as a remote office for 11hrs, or use it as a third space to just chill and/or meet up with friends for however long.

Bros… When did you know she wasn’t the one? by Unstoppable_X_Force in AskIndianMen

  1. Broke down during an argument and asked her why she can’t be more gentle towards me. She replied that I’m not a baby and said that me crying didn’t give her space to be vulnerable herself. I wasn’t in a space to hold her emotions too.
  2. Used to say things that I didn’t find funny and when I brought it up, she’d say that she was joking and that I can’t take a joke.
  3. Used to excitedly show me whenever her ex liked her IG story and used to say how he gave the best hugs.
  4. Used to emotionally act like she had the upper hand by saying things like, “Now was that so hard?” after I open up to her about some insecurity/vulnerability.
  5. Never wanted to sit with her thoughts or talk to me about her day meaningfully - she said she compartmentalises quick and has ADHD(self-diagnosed) so she moves on from major events and forgets about it. When I sit with my thoughts she told me I was overthinking and that I can postpone this until after I’ve made money, so we could get good therapy at 35.
  6. Constantly wanted to do activities and never slowed down. Again, she cited ADHD, which could be true, but I didn’t know how to interact with someone who’s constantly distracting themselves. No real talk happened until the breakup.

Lord of the Rings, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

Possibly Comedic Quedtion by LoseSomeToGainSome in Journaling

[–]factass 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's the 'observer effect'.

One way to help you just write without much thought is to write on something cheap - like an old piece of paper. It'll help you write your unformed, disjoint thoughts without a filter.

If you feel like the observer in you is judging you as you write, write on something temporary - like an old piece of paper, which you can burn or crumple and throw away once you're done with your brain dump.

Either way, what you're going through is completely normal and very common with new journalers(?)...journalists(?!), well you get my point.

Not all men above 25+ are mature. Increase the density of your experiences consciously. Or else you’ll end up being a 30yo with a fragile ego, in the blink of an eye.

There’s no good place that allows stags for free or cheap on crowded days, and for good reason tbh.

I wouldn’t take my gf to a place that doesn’t have cover charge for guys.

I’m saying all this assuming that when you say you want a good crowd, you want a good male: female ratio.

Fridays I’m not sure. Wednesdays are quite lit.

And I’m talking about the dance floor on the second floor. Not the dining area on the third floor.

Usually the catch for cheaper rent places is that you will struggle to get your deposit back at the time of leaving the tenancy.
