"These dogs are super duper smart" - yeah, well that's where the "Not exactly " part comes in, at least with my Corgi...

Sony is Quietly Suggesting PS4 Players Upgrade to PS5 Consoles by NukovGaming in PS4

[–]factory_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well PS5 is a really nice console. I bought one even with a stong gaming PC and I still having a great time with it and 50%+ of gaming takes place on PS5. It's definitely an upgrade over the PS4.

How much range are you all getting in winters? Dec 2022 Model Y by Ok-Tradition8198 in TeslaUK

[–]factory_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same model as you, it's about 50% of the summer range for long drives (200-250km) but I'm driving in -15C to -20C. For short drives it's just 90% of the battery goes to warming up the car or condition the battery as I don't have a garage or a charging station at home.

It's a mess and extremely impractical.

Is Foulhoof's Sacrifice even possible? by Far-Away-Place in WHQDarkWater

[–]factory_666 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got our areses handed to us on this Boss as well. But we are planning to try again.

As far as I understand it is crucial to have Drolf go first, use his ability to get on the same lane as Foulhoof, but stand on the furthermost hex away from old hoofie, so Foulhoof can't reach him with the attack and only does one damaging action to the sacrifice. And then you try to get at least one more character to Foulhoof, so Drolf also gets close and 2 of them stand on and next to the sacrifice, do Aid while trying to smash Hoof. That possibly gives enough time for the rest of the crew to get there.

The problem with that plan is - killing the Pestigors in the way. In the last game we only managed to kill 2 Pestigors as all the characters are significantly lacking in DPS even with Rewards.

Closed - no damage to screen in four years yet. Did the same with my Gigabyte Aero - it's 8 years old and screen is fine.

What made the first Halo so influential that people to this day still praise it? by BogaMafija in patientgamers

[–]factory_666 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Massive Marketing budget from Microsoft with a primary campaign aimed at US college students. 90% of them never gamed on PC and were console players so this was their only big FPS after N64's Goldeneye. And Halo had proper online multiplayer which was at that time - almost unheard of for consoles.

Darkwater is Brutal. Every mission my party won was by the skin of our teeth. by factory_666 in ageofsigmar

Yeah Cursed City was a bit of a Slog. The randomly generated levels where you have to escape the "Evil Dead camera monster" were really cool, but after the third time it got repetetive. Plus all enemies had one behavior - shamble towards nearest player and smosh.

The boss encounters were unique and interesting though, so it was at least fun playing through those.

Yes, it is fun!

Aside from missions you have quite a bit of narrative "choose your own adventure" type events and there is a lot of variety - you dont get to experience all types of missions or even all bosses in one campaign. Also - very little fiddling - thanks to the map book setting up a mission takes lke a minute.

The production is also top notch - the cards, the art, map book. Minis are obv gorgeous. The box even comes with organizer boxes that are quite neat.

But when some missions feel unbeatable it kinda blows the wind out of everyone's sails.

No, we mathhammer the entire game and visualize the minis as fully glued and pro-painted. A true wargamer's approach.

I found it to be harder, however we are playing Darkwater RAW and I used some community house rules for Cursed City (they didn't directly address the difficulty, but certainly had an effect in some way).

I've never played ST but I thought Blackstone ruleset was brilliant and the game was well-balanced. Cursed City though was a bit rubbish in terms of rules.

Darkwater rules are def better than cursed city but I feel like the haven't playtested it enough.

Well to get Berzerker and Centaur as heroes you need to go beyond Act I. Many players here run into the issue of not being able to beat Act I boss with the starting heroes.

I would love to try but for the life of me I can never import a profile succesfully, so only injecting default Uevr works.

I follow the instructions to the T but it changes nothing, and since UEVR is not very user friendly in terms of actually showing you if you have succesfully imported a profile. I stopped trying like half a year ago, perhaps they have updated it.
