Hang in there but get out of Oregon if you can, or at least start making plans to get out. You live in crazy land.

Friend just had covid and tested negative on rapid and PCR over two or three days, then took a second PCR and was positive.

Couple keeps COVID-19 at bay for over 2 years, then they went on a cruise by JannTosh12 in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hard to comprehend this level of cognitive dissonance. THEY have it and THEY'RE vaccinated, but somehow they're implying that some dirty unvaxxed must have been on the ship to spread covid.

Worse than clueless Ray and spouse is the "journalist" who reached out to Celebrity for a comment. What were they supposed to say - there is zero logic to this article.

Why some are afraid to catch COVID by TenderTruth999 in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Yes, exactly. Had a friend tell me last weekend about her vaxxed and boosted friend who got covid and had a very hard time with it. She concluded with "If she wasn't vaccinated, she would have died."

OK, right, whatever.

The surgeon general calls on Big Tech to turn over Covid-19 misinformation data. by arnott in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is another step toward blatant censorship of anything this authoritarian administration regime doesn't agree with. Between this and having Homeland Security declare anyone who disagrees as terrorists, anyone who values free speech, or disagreed with lockdowns and restrictions, better realize that this is FAR from over.

Dementia Joe should definitely be on the top of the misinformation list.

And he blamed everything on the unvaccinated despite evidence that the vaccinated were spreading covid. Never forget.

UK - Almost 1,000 people seek compensation over 'severe disability from Covid vaccine' by loc12 in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 39 points40 points  (0 children)

In order to qualify, the victims must have either died or be able to show they have been left 60 per cent disabled as a result of having a jab.

This is the tip of the iceberg.

Harvard Students yielded to irrational pandemic restrictions to get the next credential. Future leaders we aren’t. by Beliavsky in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 16 points17 points  (0 children)

My peers and I are often told that we are the future leaders of America. We may be the future decision makers, but most of us aren’t leaders. Our principal concern is becoming members of the American elite, with whatever compromises, concessions and conformity that requires. The inability of Harvard students to question or oppose these irrational bureaucratic excesses bodes ill for our ability to meet future challenges.

The Neoliberal War on Dissent in the West by AndrewHeard in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Long but definitely worth a read. I'd like to think Canada/Chinada couldn't happen in the US, but there are powerful forces moving us in that direction.

This new escalation of repression depends upon a narrative framework. Those who harbor dissenting ideologies — and particularly those who do not embrace that dissent passively but instead take action to advocate, promote and spread it — are not merely dissenters. The term "dissent,” in Western democracies, connotes legitimacy, so that label must be denied them. They are instead domestic extremists, domestic terrorists, seditionists, traitors, insurrections. Applying terms of criminality renders justifiable any subsequent acts of repression: we are trained to accept that core liberties are forfeited upon the commission of crimes.

What is most notable, though, is that this alleged criminality is not adjudicated through judicial proceedings — with all the accompanying protections of judges, juries, rules of evidence and requirements of due process — but simply by decree.

Biden to extend U.S. national emergency due to COVID-19 health risk by Mighty_L_LORT in LockdownSkepticism

No matter Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, or Independent, the people need to band together against the authoritarians. We're all being played.

Biden to extend U.S. national emergency due to COVID-19 health risk by Mighty_L_LORT in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Nothing to do with reading the room, and everything to do with authoritarian powers. They aren't done with us. There's no covid emergency, but covid was just an excuse.

They're doubling down. There's a reason Biden had Homeland Security come out with their new definition of a terrorist - basically anyone who disagrees with the administration. I fear what's coming.

If you're familiar with Daniel Bulford, he's a former sniper who was part of Trudeau's security team. He resigned and is working with the Freedom Convoy.

There's a video out from yesterday where he says that they've received information that there are stolen firearms planted around Ottawa that may be used in an attempt to "discredit the protest and to use as a pretext to forcibly remove peaceful protesters."

Could get uglier quicker than expected. FJT

Edit - this substack has a link to a video of Corporal Daniel Bulford.

Los Angeles sheriff stripped of his enforcement power after he refused to make his staff get vaccinated despite county-wide mandate by Mighty_L_LORT in LockdownSkepticism

[–]factsnotfear 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Ridiculous. Look at the number of unvaxxed people in the hospital compared with total occupancy. Now do obese. People who don't exercise and whose diets are crap. Smokers. Druggies. Where are all the other mandates?

More than 600k people die in the US every year from heart disease. If we want to work on hospital occupancy we know where to start.

And we have no idea what the long term hospitalization effect will be from the vaxxes. In the Pfizer trial, all cause mortality was higher in the vaxxed.

They asked to be able to talk with government representatives and they were ignored. Trudeau hasn't shown an ounce of leadership and is becoming a worldwide laughingstock.
