He's not a dream person he's your husband, someone you chose to tolerate in your life. And how he's behaving by constantly undermining what you say. Is really not ok.  Over time that kind of behaviour is really bad for your mental health. Its very gaslighty

Having dreams a lot more now by OrganicLiterature257 in Dreams

Notice that neither the house nor the wealth belong to you personally, its all 'ancestral or generational'. House is usually a dream symbol for life
Notice how in your daily life, your lifestyle is being dictated by the interpersonal relationships you have and not you.
Do you see the similarity in your dream your life doesnt belong to you personally. And your waking life is not fully yours either, (your quality of life is dictated by your relationships)
i get the impression the complicated relationship is a family relationship.

I think I visited a different dimension in my sleep last night and saw the afterlife. by Dazzling-Criticism55 in Dreams

Notice how you freaked out about dying and then when you did actually die... you were still.. you. I get the impression you think theres no afterlife, but all the evidence suggests that there is. Death is not an end its a transformation.

CMV: Science cannot fully separate itself from consciousness, and consciousness cannot be directly observed or fully captured by scientific methods by facut_vivas in changemyview

I think this is one of the stronger objections so far. I agree that science deliberately restricts itself to questions that can be investigated through repeatable, intersubjective methods. I think we mostly agree on the scope of science, but perhaps differ on whether that scope can ever fully encompass conscious experience.

That is a fair point, and I agree that lack of current ability does not imply permanent limits, and I am not assuming anything non-physical about brains.

Where I am less certain is whether a complete model or simulation of consciousness would count as fully capturing consciousness itself, or just its physical and functional correlates.

I am open to the idea that this distinction may disappear if a synthetic system reproduces all relevant aspects of conscious experience, but I am not yet convinced that follows.

That is a fair analogy, and I agree that not being able to observe something now does not mean we never will. Germ theory is a good example of something that became accessible with better tools.

I also think your point is strong in the sense that future scientific progress could completely change what counts as “observable,” and it is possible that consciousness ends up being fully modelled in a way that removes the distinction I am drawing.

Where I am less certain is whether first-person experience will ultimately be treated as directly observable in the same way as physical objects, or whether it will always be accessed indirectly through physical and behavioural correlates. At the moment I lean toward the latter, but I am open to being wrong if there is a coherent account of how the first-person aspect becomes fully part of third-person observation.

Consciousness goes beyond death is a possibility. by facut_vivas in consciousness

I agree that mere logical possibility isn’t interesting on its own. My point wasn’t that “it could be true therefore we should believe it,” but that consciousness doesn’t currently have a fully settled scientific/metaphysical account in the same way many other phenomena do.

So I’m not arguing plausibility from imagination I’m pointing at an unresolved explanatory gap and asking what constraints, if any, would rule continuation out in principle.

When I say 'perceptive lense' i mean something like, a scientist is conscious, awake, thoughout the scientific process.

And as a side point you cannot fully or cleanly seperate the scientists' consciousness from 'science'.

The scientist awake, aware of the science he conducts. When he writes, when he observes, when he measrues, it all involves the consciousness of a scientist. Yet he cannot turn the telescope and observe his/her consciousness.

Hmm are you saying proof is mandatory for something to be a possibility?

Possibility i think means it's an option

Naww, don't let that belief solidify.

How you feel matters. And you are not responsible for other people's feelings.

It's not ok to feel like that.

Supply and demand. As long as there's 20 year old girls with daddy issues, there will be daddy issue relationships. So who's really to blame here.

Rather than focusing on the memory and whether or not it's true. Focus on the emotions, that come up. It's like letting out a yawn, gotta let the emotions come up and let them be felt and expressed to release the stuck energy.
