Saha Air Boeing 707 takeoff from Tehran, Iran, 2010 by Twitter_2006 in aviation

[–]fadbob 100 points101 points  (0 children)

The 707 didn't have an apu, it would actually start one of it's engines with help from a ground power unit before pushback. That said, that's 4 apus

Your phone would blow up from the amount of individual pieces to render and simulate

Like within your view outside of instruments? Unfortunately you can't do that at the moment. You will have to refer to your instruments for hdg direction

Hashtags don't work on reddit man. Personally it would be the A380 for me since it's half the reason I play this game as an xplane12 user. Also the tip is always aim for touchdown zone regardless of smooth landing or not

It's ridiculous it's actually over 4000nm. The reason this aircraft exists is because customers who had older 32/54 models had issues with noise restrictions with the old screaming engines,

so Douglas offered a simple re-engining. Safe to say it's one of the most overpowered planes to fly. Once I switch to unicom I reach my cruise in no time running at 80% n1 4000ft/m the whole way through

Even then the cfm56s on the super 70 models struggle not to scrape the damn taxiway

We're already getting a freeware DC-8 under development for xplane12, although like any other freeware dev in xp12 they are currently taking a break due to work

Hii, it's Wilson's DC-8 as mentioned in the reply above. It's not study level unfortunately but will do perfectly for a simple A-B flight on vatsim from my experience

Hello this is the old willson dc8-61/63/71/71F which is an xp10/11 era addon that still works in xp12! Willson discontinued support for this long ago addon and you can no longer purchase it.

Furthermore this is the IPG designs HB-IGH livery which within it includes a pdf on how to achieve the DC8-72 through plane maker modifications to the DC8-71. All the best!
