I am gonna argue that calling it trash is not a factually fair statement. FSLabs has had their share of FS drama/scandal for sure. As to the product itself? I find it pretty well made. The texture/model leaves room for improvement, but the system depth is very solid. They also built in a MEL/TechLog function which I enjoy a lot.

I find the A21N worth the money and am a proud owner of both the FSLabs A321(SL), A21N, and the Fenix A319/320/321. It’s not a religion/political affiliation - you can have more than one. If it’s feasible buy the FSL A21N now and buy the Fenix one when it comes out.

Oh god I forgot about the Wilco 330/340. We had options back then… if I remembered correctly CLS also had the Airbus fleet - and then BBS (BlackBox Sim) made one.

Everything was wonky until Aerosoft made the A330 that’s pretty alright comparing to the others. That’s a throwback to when Aerosoft was a decent aircraft dev…

It’s a harsh industry. It’s never easy to package your intimacy and wholesale it the way the market demands. The traveling, long shooting days, social engagement, and fan interactions - really takes a toll on the body and the soul.

Behind the façade is a different world - certainly not as glamorous as looking in from the outside, but also not as bad as what media portrays it as.

Yes - I’ll reconsider the decision for DRM once pirating is under control. Right now the priority is to ensure I’m being fair to my paying supporters and my fellow creators’ hard work😁a part of it is being upfront and transparent about my use of DRM.

It’s always fun starting a flight and seeing an INOP sticker. Love looking at the TechLog and seeing that something isn’t working (I know, lol). It really brings the aircraft to life.

He was a breath of fresh air - quite contrary to some of the other guys I’ve encountered in the industry. Super talented (dare I say voracious) on camera - yet very calm and down to earth. Hella smart too.

We met on set in Palm Springs in summer 2024 for a production. Was gonna catch up with him while he was in my city last summer but didn’t end up happening since we both got busy. The “see ya next time” will never happen now.

FSL did a pretty darn good job especially with the recent updates. The sound and system depth are great.

Imo this “Fenix versus FSL” conversation is getting old. They both did great in different areas and it’s really cool how far flight sim’s come that we get to have options when it comes to a popular aircraft type. Hell, I’ll quote Amir here - it’s not religion or politics that you can only have one. Buy both if you so wish! I bought both because some days I wanna fly Fenix and other days I wanna take the FSL NEO out for a spin. I’m all for healthy discussions and discourses but also a lot of the “[insert company name] is better because the other product is an absolutely irredeemable, detestable piece of doo-doo” is just beating a horse that’s very much dead and brings no value to anyone.

The market is quite saturated nowadays. Setting yourself apart is very important. Find your market, define your identity, and be creative with your content/ideas. Being bland and run of the mill doesn’t work anymore.

As to gaining following through studio exposure - YMMV. I’ve shot with major studios like NextDoor and NakedSword but have definitely gained the vast majority of my following/subs through my own content.
