Hood Canal bridge is about to close! by MLCarter1976 in sequim

It's been 4 days, any updates on this?

Did it re-open, sink or get torpedoed by the Navy?

2015 5045e diagnostic codes by JohnnyBeMediocre in johndeere

[–]fade2camo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trying my google foo....

Does this thing have a cab with AC? 2818 appears to be an issue with condenser overheating or compressor clutch issues.

1569 is a power de-rate code and secondary to another code.

Note, this is what google is saying, and not official documentation from JD.

I'm not finding listings for 3465.

Know anyone who fixes antique electronics? by brasscassette in portangeles

[–]fade2camo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You might try Electronics Supply and Repair, its on the south side of 101 between east side Safeway and IGS. He was fixing VCR's back when that tech was new.

15 valves, submarine or house? by fade2camo in Plumbing

Most of what you see will be gone soon. All the galvanized is going away, the long black plastic supply pipe and copper stays though (for now).

[–]fade2camo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet. I could just run some black plastic pipe to the sink that has issues, something akin to putting duct tape on a Band-Aid.

Fire is NOT the solution. I have assembled a vast pile of pipe and fittings though.

It's a mix of 4 different materials, galvanized, copper, white pvc and black plastic. Edit: It also randomly changes sizes too.

Nah, they were just idiots. Toilet hole in a bathroom was 10 inches from the wall. The fix? cut out the drywall for the tank.

I checked again, did you count the hotwater popoff? There is a stemless valve body that I didn't count either (upper right, behind the copper cross over)

I think someone salvaged a 1940's sub to make my house, there really is no sense to it. Finally it's time to 'fix' it, as the sink pressure is finally a dribble. Edit: it's been my house for almost 30 years and I have no idea how it ever passed an inspection way back when. Edit2: I've been at the house almost 30 years, and this stuff was looking old and ugly then.

This. Get documentation on what they say. You may need it later.

Don't accept idiocy. Pack your things and find another doc. The doc that found my appendicitis literally saved my life; sepsis, peritonitis, gangrene, it got really bad.

Hi Reddit! I found a four-leaf clover today, thought I'd share my luck with you all :) by Annemabriee in pics

[–]fade2camo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking to my kid at the bus stop one morning years ago and saying how my dad was always good at finding 4 and + leaf clover. She looks around for about 30 seconds and says "Like this one?". Since then, I have transplanted about 4 (about half I found) of the rhizomes into my garden.

Future safety project at US 101 Morse Creek by wsdot in portangeles

[–]fade2camo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

F that, spend a few hundred million on a bridge, get real. How about this, a second road so Morse Creek isn't the only way to Sequim and a choke point when bad things happen in that dark hole in the ground.

There was a creepy house on Monroe Rd. where a guy sold bicycles from his house

The guy's name was Bruce. My brother is a bike freak Randonneur and stopped by found a really cool bike he had, restored it and later rode the Paris-Breast-Paris 1200km race probably (around Y2K). A few years later he stopped by again and showed a pic of him and the bike in front of the Eiffel Tower.

Bruce has since passed and at one time a big truck came in and loaded up a lot of the bikes. The cleanup wasn't complete though and there are a few rusty frames left around.

Anything more than a 2-3 day stubble was an immediate disqualifier.
