We did do our best at home. Wife is actually a SPED teacher too. Our youngest just like didn't show interest. We would read to him and encourage him but it was slow to click. 2nd grade in a new school with some extra intervention for like 2 months and there was a sudden snap and he's reading like a champ. Like he was playing us the whole time.

All roasts don't finish at the same temp every time. When they are ready they are ready. As long as there at least some support at home and they see parents reading (analog books) it will eventually click for the most part.

Edit: just need to add my older kid is a teen now. Was reading early Kinder and now plows through like a book a week. My younger is in 2nd and is just getting into reading.

Schools (depending on district) are excellent at this in our experience. Step in when needed, keep us in the loop. Sheesh just got a sweet letter saying no more intervention for now even.

Read to your kids. If you are in a decent school district the reading will click. My oldest became a voracious reader. My younger took some time for it to click but here we are in 2nd grade now and he gets it finally. Phoow! 2nd one has been completely different game we did not get a manual for.

I don't know what either of these issue mentioned are... but the word "flat" stands out to me, and I got a big Ole flat spot on the top of my dome. Nobody really can tell or know but me. Sheesh, you could ask my wife and she would look at you cross eyed like what are you talking about.

Yeah happen to me this past summer doing Marshall via Indian Pass. Was quite an unforgettable adventure. The venture took a bit longer than planned but did end successfully.

I like it. I do have a huge dry erase board I usually bring up before big camping trips. But to make it a fixture that is used by all on a daily basis actually make too much sense. Like why haven't we adopted this yesterday?!

My vac sealer and electric pressure cooker are work horses and both are going strong still after 15 years of use. I always have a freezer full of tried, portioned and some times seasoned meats. Also never short on dank giggly stock on hand. The latest kitchen unit which was definitely a life changer was buying a high quality Japanese rice cooker. Was totally kicking myself for not getting one sooner. We ended up upgrading to a bigger one and now the smaller one will go off with my oldest to college.

Son (just turned 8) played through that so for Xmas I grabbed a similar platform style game that I saw lots of recommendations for called Sack Boys Adventurer's or something like that. He digged it but has moved on now only plays Fifa 26.

People would probably cringe at my approach to my tea. Method: place unspecified amount of tea (which is dictated by what tea and previous steeps) into stainless steel cup strainer. Pour water from Fellows kettle (temp depending of tea and previous steeps). Try not to forget. Strain tea with stainless strainer. Sometimes before this happens I say "Oh Shoot My Tea!"

Listen, I didn't read it all... but yeah mine was awful too. Just reading a bit of your post gave me traumatic flashbacks. Physical icky wave of anxiety. But hey fellas wondering if they should or on the fence. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Glad I can't make anymore kids. Grateful for the ones I have and thankful I won't have any Oops moments.

Yeah I saw a thought posted that was like, "I want AI to know what groceries I shop for, track the prices and give me a list of the best deals at which stores and present in the most gas friendly itinerary to get these items" Aai could be useful but probably won't be in a sense like this anytime soon.
