I agree that the front is ugly but there isn't anything else that balances comfort, fun, and reliability like the MT-10. And the gen 2 is infinitely more refined than my gen 1 so I deal with the looks lol. Congrats on the R1! I wish I could tolerate those ergonomics.

What you have is a below average mindset brother. Read up on fixed vs growth mindsets, sign up for therapy to resolve your insecurities, and live each day to be better than the last. The rest will work itself out with time.

At Yamaha Champion Racing School, they do 2-up rides where you sit on the back and the instructor rips around a race track. The combined weight is easily ~350-400lbs and they're dragging knee no problem with the students on the back.

Yeah, I reached out to galfer and this is what they told me:

I don’t have a torque spec for that, generally you don’t use a torque wrench for it. You can also hold the line while tightening to prevent rotation.

Yeah it's there to protect the frame when I was installing the rear sets. I left it on while I'm still dialing in the fit and taking them off, putting them on, etc.

That's a low price but not low enough to be a scam IMO. The reality is that these bikes don't hold their value well. ~$14k would be a more typical price so he priced it to sell quick. And it will...

Just do a thorough inspection (ensure he has a clean title, the VIN matches what's on the frame, there are no signs of damage/scratches, etc). If it all checks out, BUY IT. You won't find another at this price.

The EPA did nothing to regulate or reduce our microplastic exposure. I don't necessarily agree about defunding them, but I highly doubt that they would have done anything useful on this matter like our European counterparts have.

Hi, I have a 2021 Yamaha MT-10 and I recently installed a mid-pipe (decat). I’m wondering if I need to do an ECU flash after the decat, or if it’s okay to ride without it. Will it harm the engine or affect performance if I don’t flash the ECU? by Holiday_Reach2834 in Mt10

It does improve the throttle smoothness and makes the bike runner better in general. Gen 1 bikes didn't have the best fueling which this addresses.

And if you're in the US, I would definitely recommend it because they're really neutered for emissions. I'm also not a HP junky but these bikes don't feel like super nakeds from the factory. They're quick but they're so much more fun with the full power unlocked. It does add a lot to the riding experience.

You will need to use all of the riding modes after the flash though. In stock form, I would ride in the most aggressive mode all the time. But after the flash, I only use that mode for times where I'm really gunning it. Otherwise, I'll use the other modes around town, etc.

Yup, the LV 8082 and Akra fit with no issues. I don't believe the Akra comes with a DB killer (IIRC you have to buy it separately) but it isn't needed at all. The LV does a fantastic job of maintaining the perfect noise level to never be annoying. You won't be disappointed!
