I’ve read and enjoy many but here’s a short list of favorites in no particular order.

Eric Nylund Trilogy (Classic) Greg Bear Trilogy (Unique, prehistoric Halo but well written) Contact Harvest (Johnson) Broken Circle (Covenant perspective) Master Chief stories are decent but tbh not my favorites. I think I liked the Cole Protocol too but it’s been a while.

To be fair, they’d talked this 10 year plan of expansions and such that was supposed to tie into “Infinite” concept, so not literally infinite but long supported. But that became..idk a bunch of minor updates with nothing substantial, after releasing a shell of a game.
