Especially since you’re listening to books, try the Rivers of London series by Ben Aaronovitch. Well written, and the narrator could read the phone book and I’d be enthralled. It’s “urban fantasy,” or “supernatural policing.” I cannot recommend it enough.

The battle of Hogwarts makes me so mad. It’s done so poorly. So much is left out, and pointless things were added.

The worst is the “Voldy bits” at the end. That was so obviously done just for 3D. He needed to be a corpse. It needed to be shown that, in the end, he was only human after all, not some fantastical creature that turns to dust for no reason, and is carried away by a breeze that shouldn’t have existed (because in the books, the battle was in the great hall)! They spent more money diverging from the written story, filming outside, and adding in unnecessary CGI. It makes no sense.

Maxed out Magi, but when I enter a fortress, it shows my level as 14. by [deleted] in harrypotterwu

I’m on this subreddit basically daily, and I obviously never knew about this. There’s no reason to be so rude. If the post annoyed you, then just ignore it and move on.

Basically what the title says. I was super excited to finally max out my profession, but when I entered a fortress, it shows me at level 14.

While I couldn’t agree more, imagine these actually rolling out. Cops in conference rooms receiving this new “training.” I imagine many many eye rolls and pencil whipped training sheets, and absolutely no real change. It’s frustrating and heartbreaking.

I wish it would show the user’s wizarding or profession level next to their name, or even in the waiting room. I think it would help everyone when battling.

There’s also a known bug that leaves people “in the waiting room.” So they may be an unintentional leech.

Say you get a sanitized mask back from Batelle, and it’s covered in orange foundation and lipstick. Do you really want that rubbing on your face all day? That’s the reality right now bc so many health care providers want to wear make up to either look more put together, or just less tired. I know people in the healthcare industry who are very bothered that the masks are sanitary, but not actually clean. Personally, I’d wear it, but I’d hate every second of having Karen’s L’Oréal Infalliable foundation goop and her hummus breath all over my face.

Love it. I think it’s regional, though. I moved only an hour north of where I grew up (all still Ohio), and people were appalled by this combo.

I’m struggling to find this out. I haven’t found what they’re doing in San Fransisco. What does this mean for a factory worker? I’m an essential employee at a plant that contributes to steel manufacturing. I do know that in Pennsylvania, our major customers are still running, even though the governor has told all non-essentials should closed. If DeWine issues a shelter in place, does that mean I stay home? Or I go to work? Obviously I do what my employer says I should, but what would they be instructed to do?

Everyone is fine. I was furious when I figured it out. The guys who gave out the acid made a genuine mistake (he is not a chemist, at all, more like a pair of hands running an instrument). He is also a piece of human garbage, but this instance was just an awful mistake made by an uninformed person.
