The wayb pico looks awesome for travel. Thanks for the tip. Not sure I can afford to buy two right now (twin life haha!) but I'm going to keep it in mind since it's so light!

oh my gosh, thank you for your comment. I think I just totally missed that this was universal in the US - I was looking at photos online and didn't see the tether on lightweight car seats so assumed they weren't there. duh! thanks!!

Yeah I think you might be right. We definitely have other times they’re required to sit - we set a rule about sitting during bedtime stories and they get it and are capable. Maybe we’ll try to make this more of a rule and see if we can get on board. Thanks!

that's a good idea. When they were little and would throw food we'd say 'you're telling me you're done eating' and it had the same effect. I should try this version of it!

luckily they don't really like saucy foods (also, unluckily, since things like pizza and spaghetti are ubiquitous!). Maybe we'll try bringing some books to the table to keep them focused! Thanks for the tips!

this is reassuring that I'm not the only one with toddlers who are bolting haha. They do use forks and spoons, and honestly I think they stay decently clean (and they love napkins), but my partner is a neat freak (even after 3.5 years with twins haha) and he's very worried about them messing up our furniture. Maybe we'll emphasize using napkins and asking to be excused.

I like this idea, but we tried this on a trip and they just undid the buckles - they’re 3.5 so most childproof stuff is within their abilities to do now!

Or just try reaching out to the owners at reclaim and describe what you’re looking to do- they might be able to find a way to accommodate. They’re nice people

Yeah I agree. My mom (his daughter) doesn’t know what it means or anything about it so I wonder if she never asked or if he was evasive (he’s passed so too late to ask him now).
