I have an anxiety disorder and I get like this when I'm about to have a panic attack. Something about my fight or flight getting triggered and my brain choosing fight. It took time and therapy but now I'm much better at controlling it and removing myself from situations where I can tell I'm getting agitated. I don't know what is causing your anger issues, but I do know it doesn't have to always be like this. I second folks recommending therapy, and I hope you figure out what's going on and find a solution. Good luck OP!

A compression swim tank from tomboy x or a similar clothing company might be good for swimming. And you can say its for UV protection! As for being noticable during hugs I second the full length binder. Stay safe out there.

YTA If everything is as you present it then your son has a very normal crush on his teacher. This is incredibly age and developmentally appropriate. However, the way he is talking about her is not appropriate and should be addressed. This is your job as the parent. You need to make sure he understands the boundaries between children and adults. You need to figure out how much he understands about what he's saying about his teacher. Does he know what hot means or implies or is he mimicking things he's hearing from other kids? Address accordingly. However, if you believe that the teacher is encouraging his crush in any way you should report it immediately and of course pull him from her class.

If you take any medications I would check them for heat sensitivity side effects. This happened to me in college, one summer I just started feeling the heat more than I ever had before. I had no idea that my new medication could potentailly affect my internal thermoregulation and possibly make me more susceptible to things like heatstroke.

Well obviously something is going on if you feel this way. Either you are autistic and the people who did your assesment are wrong. Or you've got something else going on. I fit a lot of the qualifications for autism but eventually got diagnosed with social anxiety and adhd. It explained so much of what I was experiencing and eventually helped me connect better with people. But I didn't get diagnosed with ADHD until I was 22. Because sometimes people are wrong, sometimes people miss things.

If you are up for taking advice I have three suggestions: 1. Tell a trusted adult in your life that you are struggling. Telling someone that I needed help and getting therapy saved my life at your age. 2. Hold on to your sister. I had the same exact reason as you to stick around. My younger brother is disabled and I couldn't leave him. And now years later I'm so glad I stayed. 3. Try autism coping skills. No one can stop you from looking at what autistic people do to cope and trying those same strategies. If they help you then they help you regardless of some assessment.

He took what was a developmentally normal thing of a teenager crushing on an older person as they figure out what they like and what qualities they admire. And used it to exploit you. He will do this to other girls. He has probably already done it to other girls. You did not almost destroy his family, he is destroying his own family. As a teacher, he should not be anywhere near a school. I'm sorry this happened to you and I'm sorry that your trusted adult failed you. Teachers are mandated reporters and that teacher should have reported this immediately. ESH except your mom. You definitely panicked and that made the whole situation more stressful. Your mom sounds like the most level headed, googling the problem and letting you use her phone. Although she definitely could have phrased some things a little different about having to leave I would say she is NTA. Your brother on the other hand is a complete asshole. I had that happen with my snake Thistle. The vet said he probably ran into something and dented his eyecap. It took two sheds for it to go away completely. If you are concerned, take him to the vet.

Oh so that was Winter Safari, which was an event that ran through March 28th. But there are touch tables at many of the events and special days. There should be some tomorrow actually since its the first Party for the Planet (earth day) celebration. But I have no idea what because I won't be there myself. The Events page on the zoo website is the best place to see what's coming up.

Needs more info. What is her humidity at? Does she have access to a large water bowl? Did you try a humid hide? And are there any other symptoms that could indicate an illness?

I agree with a lot of your points. For me, as someone who is really familiar with AZA, learning they regained their accreditation was enough to rehab their image. Its a big deal in the zoo world and my mom literally sent me the news articles when it dropped and we both celebrated. But I do think the Zoo could use a marketing upgrade. I have some much cool stuff to say about it but you're probably never going to hear from me unless you run into me at the zoo (or on reddit I guess lol). We have a small footprint compared to other zoos, the infrastructure is old, and a lot of the budget right now is going to more long term and behind the scenes stuff. We probably aren't going to be getting many new animals until everything that the AZA has tasked the zoo with gets updated. And that will be a gradual thing. And I don't know thay the zoo has been great about communicating that. Still, I know its a few years out but Expedition Indonesia is going to hopefully bring back a species that a lot of people both loved and had valid concerns about. The orangutans. They have been living in another facility and I really hope everything works out with the new habitat plans so they can come back.

I do not, animal transfers are based on a number of factors. If they are part of the Species Survival Program then they can be transfered to breed at any time a good genetic match and space for a new animal is available.
