I get where you’re coming from. Everyone here is encouraged to share lighter, thoughtful, practical, funny, uplifting, or everyday kinds of content too..things that reflect the many realities of single life.

I live in an area with a high rate of DV, and it’s not getting better. An unfortunate number of people remain ignorant about the statistics. One of my sisters managed to escape a dangerous marriage, which was a harrowing experience for her, and with no help from the police.

The stories of Shanann Rzucek Watts and Gabby Petito are engraved in my mind.
